It wasn't until they dragged the two boys into the house and up to Chad's bedroom when things got messy. People stared the entire time, and Mal and Evie had appeared downstairs, no thanks to Lonnie for that. But that wasn't the bad part. The bad part was Brody and Carlos fighting out of someone's hold and attacking the other.
"Come on, Carlos! You're better than this," Jane said, standing behind Mal and Audrey. Chad and Ben were holding onto Carlos while Jay, Lonnie, and Mal were holding onto Brody. For small boys they sure did have some hidden strength.
"This is probably why father left you, huh?" Brody laughed, the sound merciless and caused goosebumps to rise on Audrey's arms. "A good for nothing, momma's boy. That's why she hit you, right?"
"Shut up," Carlos muttered into the silence. He hung his head as the insults came at him.
"Let her hit you because you were weak," Brody smirked, that evil grin still plastered on his lips.
"I said, shut up!" Carlos yelled, voice low and full of threat. Brody just rest his head against - was that Lonnie? - someone's shoulder, a dark chuckle rumbling up his throat.
"We could've came back for you, but that'd mean dragging your beat ass out of the dome's glitch," Brody said calmly. The statement gaining Doug and Ben's interest. Brody picked up on that easily. "It's closed now, nothing to worry about Prince Prissy." Ben scoffed and rolled his eyes at the insult.
"We?" Carlos questioned giving his brother, his sick, demented brother, a confused look. Brody deadpanned, looking at Carlos with an affronted expression.
"I should've killed you," Brody spat, his eyes a gleaming with a dangerous glow. Carlos saw from his angle the dark red that spotted his dark brown eyes. The magic in him that he had kept from everyone. "I should've killed you!"
Jay was quick to move Mal and Lonnie off Brody, wrapping his arm around the boy's neck and holding him there in a headlock. All he did was chuckle, his hands scrambling to grab Jay's forearm in his fits of broken laughter. Carlos was still held down by Chad and Ben, his arms at his sides as Ben sat on the ground with his arms wrapped around Carlos' legs.
There was an eerie silence that fell in the time frame that had taken a second for everyone to process. Carlos out of both the princes' grasp and his teeth biting into Jay's arm. He hadn't felt remorse, not until Brody had him backed up against Chad's dresser, the glass of the mirror shattering behind him.
"What are your interests, Carlos?" Brody asked calmly, his face a tomato red from his lack of breath. Carlos heaved, Brody's arm on his neck and his other hand on his shoulder. "Shouldn't you be glad I'm back with you?"
"You left me to die with our mother!" Carlos yelled, his voice cracking as his eyes brimmed red. Brody felt powerful at the sight of weakness. "You left me to die! How am I supposed to feel?!"
"You broken, broken boy," Brody whispered, taking his free hand and caressing his brother's cheek. "Like I said, I would've killed you after anyways." Brody smirked devilishly, looking over his shoulder at the group of princes and princess. The villain kids, and then to the balcony window. He was practically beaming when he clutched onto Carlos' neck, and dragged him out the balcony door.
