Chapter 8-Love hurts

I woke up to the sun shining on my face, I squinted my eyes and looked at the time on my alarm clock, once I saw that it was already noon I hopped out of bed
Crap I thought, I have to get Lilly ready for school! Why didn't my alarm go off what the hell!
I sprinted to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and ran to Lilly's room not finding her there. Ohmygod I thought, why didn't Rick wake me up before he went to work like Jesus Christ and where is Lilly??

I heard princess parking down stairs and I heard Lilly's voice, calming down I walked downstairs and halfway there I noticed Rick in the kitchen, feeding Lilly and princess
I gasped, Rick never ever missed work and this was the first time out of months that I saw him actually feed Lilly.

I walked the rest of the stairs and Rick turned to me all slowly "well look who finally came out her dungeon" he joked
Lilly giggled and opened her mouth for some more food, and as I approached them I realized Rick was feeding her frosted flakes. I gave them both a half smile, feeling guilty about what happened yesterday, I didn't want Lilly to think I'm crazy or anything and judging by how she greeted me with a smile I can see she forgot all about it

"What's going on?" I asked clearly clueless on why Rick skipped work
"No school today mom!" Lilly said in between bites
Rick looked at me and tapped on the stool next to him, and I sat there next to him still waiting for more answers
"Here you go Lilly,you can feed yourself now" he said handing her the spoon

"No, keep feeding me" she whined
He frowned "lilly...
She pouted "ok fine" she said then continued on feeding herself
Rick finally turned to me and brushed hair from my face "so I turned off your alarm clock if you hadn't realized" he said
I squinted my eyes at him and crossed my arms "why?"
He shrugged "I wanted you to get enough sleep, I know how hard it is to take care of a five year old and her puppy and-
"Its not hard,it just takes time and dedication, I mean if you were here you would know yourself" I said
He frowned and closed his eyes for a few seconds
I grabbed princess who was licking my feet, and I started petting her while I waited for Rick to say something

"Ok your right, I've been such a dick lately, so I'll make it up...how about we go to adventure landing-
"Two adults at a kids-
"With Lilly of course" he interrupted
I looked at him speechless, I don't even remember the time we all had a family night out, was he really changing
"What about work?" I asked

"I'm here aren't I?" he said sipping his tea
My stomach started to rumble, I was starving
"I made you breakfast" he said getting up and going to the microwave taking out freshly cooked omelet and some orange juice
I stood up, put princess down and walked to the plate he had in his hands

"No way, and you even put cheese!" I said my eyes lighting up
He grinned yep, now come sit down so I can feed you
"What about me?" Lilly asked
"I'll feed you Lilly" I answered hoping she would agree

Lilly nodded and we all sat on our stools feeding each other, I was already beginning to love this day and this new Rick.

I changed into a cute black Maxi dress and wore some black heels and a small leather jacket just in case it for a little cold outside, I came down the stairs and I saw Rick in some jeans and a white polo shirt with some vans and Lilly in her favorite green dress. They were attacking each other with kisses and I smiled

Rick looked over at me And I could see his beautiful green eyes light up, and he stood up as I walked over to him and Lilly
"You look pretty mommy" Lilly said and I picked her up and gave her a kiss on the cheek
"Can I have one too?" He asked grinning
I giggled and gave him a kiss on the cheek, but then he grabbed my face as I pulled away and planted a kiss right on my lips

"Gross" Lilly whispered
Rick laughed and looked at the time "well we better get going" he said
"What about princess?" Lilly asked
"She's sleeping Lilly, she will be fine" I said
"Well ok then, maybe next time we will bring her" she said
I laughed "yeah maybe"
