Hey everyone!! My wonderful readers, I'd like to apologize for not updating for so long.. I had my exams so I'm really sorry.. Anyway I'm gonna make it up to you guys by uploading not just one or two, but three poems today!
Well, about this poem.. This was written when I had a hell time with the common cold.. (I'm sure you'll be able to relate) And the fact that I'm being plagued by the flu even now made me post this..
One day I came back from school,
But my face didn't seem so cool.
It had turned black and blue
As I had caught a fearsome flu!!!
My temperature was increasing,
But I found my body freezing!
In a shivering state I was found
In a jiffy, wrapped my blanket around!
Mom exclaimed, "Oh! You do shiver?
It's all 'cause of last day, remember?
When it rained cats and dogs
You had jumped out, just like the frogs!"
It's true that the petrichor
Had lured me out of the view so blurred
That I had seen from my window pane.
And yes, I jumped out to dance in the rain!
But nothing were the drops of rain
When compared to my current pain!
With every bit of a breeze,
A million times I did sneeze!!
I had to bravely fight
Every single night
With a blocked nose!!
OMG! That was such a gross!!
And the next morning
I found it was leaking!
So next, I had some issues
All day, dealing with those tissues!!
The problem with the common cold
Is that it never leaves its hold
Until it has been at least a week
Though lots of medicines you did seek!!
But all the troubles under the sun,
Can't happen 'cause of a fringe of fun!!
And so a day I woke up stiff,
I checked my nose by taking a sniff!
I opened my jaws in disbelief
And breathed a sigh of relief!!
Oh!! It's a special day!
Finally, the flu flew away!!!
