The Gophers walk over to us with a jello gummy worm cake. I immediately roll my eyes not wanting to see any of them. Not even Gabe. I start to walk away but Duncan grabs my arm. "You can't hide from them forever." He whispers in my ear. I nod. I sit beside him.
"What do you want? Come to rub it in?" Courtney demands. "We had some food leftover food from the Tuck Shop. Thought you might want some?" Cody shows the cake. "Ah!" Courtney screams. "I-I just don't like jelly." She jumps back a little. "Ah snake!" DJ knocks the plate over. "Chill it's a gummy worm." Cody says.
"Sorry man, snakes creep me out." DJ says. Next thing I know everyone is sharing their fears.
"I feel ya man, chickens creep me out." Tyler says.
"Walking in a mine field..." Woah Lindsay has a brain. "In heels." Yep, there it goes.
Everyone else is sharing.
"I'm afraid of having a bad haircut." Sadie squeals.
"Ooh I change mine! That's way worse!" Lindsay exclaims.
You airheads, I think to myself.
"I'm afraid of clowns." Gabe admits sheepishly.
"So spill. What are you afraid of Princess?" Duncan asks Courtney.
"Nothing." She says confidently.
"*cough* bullshit *cough*" I say.
"What was that Hadley?" Courtney demands.
"Bullshit." I stand up.
"What are you afraid of then, Hadley?" She smirks.
"I'm afraid of Celine Dion standees." Duncan blurts.
"Uh exsqueeze me?" Cody asks and I immediately scowl at him.
"So if we had a standee of Celine Dion right now." Courtney starts.
"Oh shut up Courtney!" I scream.
"It's okay Duncan." I give him a pat on a shoulder.
"I'd feel better if you said what your fear is Scout." He says quietly.
"I'm afraid of Slenderman." I say shortly.
"Uh what?" Trent asks and I glare.
"Who isn't scared of Slenderman?! He freaking eats children!" I yell.
"That is ridiculous." Courtney.
"Oh yeah? Why don't you just tell everyone your fear of j-" Courtney quickly covers my mouth. I bite her hand.
"Ow she bit me!" Courtney cries holding her hand.
"Courtney is afraid of jello." I say before walking off.
I hear her yell "Only the green kind"
