I clean the table of the repulsive family that was on this a minute ago. I hate when people don't have the table manners, it's so irritating. It just shows a kind of person he/she is. My arms are fighting with the pain by moving my hands back and forth for cleaning.

Jen enters with a dull face, she seems very off today. The fact that she is being very cautious is intruding.

"Jen, what happened?" I asked. She was startled by my voice.

"Oh it's just." She sits on the chair as I continue with my work. "My neighbor Mrs. Bond is dead."

"Oh My god, she was such a kind lady." I remember Mrs. Bond, she used to bring breakfast for Jen and always helped her.

"She was murdered." She said.

My eyes widen. Murdered? A lady like her was murdered?

As far as I remember she doesn't have any problem with anyone. She used to live alone and was the nicest person I've ever met.

"What? Why?"

"She was brutally killed. Someone..." Her voice weakens "She was unrecognizable. Nobody knows the weapon or how she was killed. Why something like this happened to her?" She starts crying "I don't feel safe."

I hug her and let her cry on my shoulder. Mr. Hughes saw us but thankfully didn't disturb us, he kept looking down at his book.

"Whoever did this have to pay for it." I said and she kept crying.

We stay like that for a few minutes, not talking, just holding each other. I can't help but think about her happy face. How she was so bubbly all the time. She always loved hearing things of other people and try to solve their problem.

"You two." Mr. Hughes voice made both of us to part ourselves and look at him.

"You two can go home early. There aren't many customers today." He said and we both were shocked to see his this side. I've never expected him to ever treat us like this but surely after seeing how we are feeling his mood changed.

"Thank you, Mr. Hughes." I thanked him and we straight away went away.

We changed our clothes into something casual but didn't speak at all. I didn't know what to say and she didn't know how to act. We both are in a situation we don't know how to respond.

"Do you want to come to my home?" I asked her when we were leaving the restaurant.

"No, I just want to stay alone." She said and I nod.

We part our ways and I continue walking on my lane. It's weird walking in the evening, there are so many people smiling and talking in this sunlight. My thoughts go to Mrs. Bond and how pathetic that person must be who killed her.

I bought the newspaper from the store and there was a huge column about the murder of Mrs. Bond. She was last seen at 5pm when she went out to buy some vegetables. Her house was quite the whole time and nobody could even guess that she was dead inside the house.

I unlock my phone and saw Niall's message.

"After your shift, please come to my house for Jen's birthday discussion." He wrote. He send me this message this morning, he doesn't know that I'm already done with my shift.

I can go there now as I don't have anything to do and want to divert my mind from this horrifying case. I take a taxi and give him Niall's address.

We were at his house in about five minute. His house is very simple, a kind of house I used to live in with my grandmother.

I step inside and rung the bell. After a few seconds the door opens revealing Harry.
