Friday With The Bad Boy

Selena's POV

Before I knew it, it was Friday. I was nervous for absolutely no reason.

The door opened revealing him and his mother.

"Hey," I said weakly.

"Hey Selena," his mother said warmly.

They sat down. Then there was a deafening silence.

Nobody was talking and it made me very uncomfortable.

"So, how are you?", I asked her breaking the silence.

"I'm fine darling, and yourself?", she politely replied.

I looked down at my body.

"I could be better," I said with a hint of sarcasm.

She gave a small grin.

"I have a surprise Selena.", he looked at me mischievously.

"Ooh lemme see!", I said.

"I can't tell you yet," he playfully scolded me.

I hate guessing games.

"Just tell me Hunter," I whined.

He pulled out a bouquet of flowers.

"Thanks Hunter," I tried to sound as enthusiastic as I could.

"No problem babe.", he said.

"Babe?", I asked.

"Yeah. Babe." he said.

"Don't call me that," I glared at him.

Why would be call me babe?

"I would call you other things, but uh, my moms here.", he laughed.

His mother gave him a warning look, to which he easily dismissed.

"Well, um, maybe I should get going," she said uneasily.

"I thought that was the whole reason you guys came today, was so that I could actually talk to you and meet you," I told her.

She raised up her eyebrows.

"Really? He didn't tell me that," she chuckled and walked out of the room.

"What?", I glared at him.

"So sexy wanna go on a date with me?", he said pervertedly.

"No," I said.

"Please," he said giving me puppy dog eyes.

"No," I said again.

"Can I have your number?", he tried.

"Will you leave me alone?", I complained.

"Give me your number, and I'm gone," he smirked.

"If it will make you leave, then fine," I said violently grabbing his phone and typing in my phone number.

He walked out of the room a small grin on his face.

Ugh.

Five minutes later, I get a text from him.

Hey baby. Wanna go on a date. ;)

From: Selena

I thought I already told you no...twice >:-(

You did. I just thought I'd try again. So...will you go out with me? ;)

How many times do I have to say no for you to realize I'm not interested?

To: Selena
From: Hunter

Just don't say no...say yes ;)

Hello? Selena.

I ignored him completely. I didn't want to date him. However, the only thing still on my mind was the kiss. Soft, yet passionate. Playful, yet sincere. It was all too many things to describe.

The next day, he came to visit me again.

He walked in the room, a serious look to his face.

I raised my eyebrows in suspicion.

"Selena? Can I ask tell you something?", he asked.

"Sure," I agreed.

"You're the girl that when I first saw I knew I liked. The girl I wanted to be in bed with every night," he began.

"Hunter, just stop." I told him.

"No let me continue, I'm a good poet, I can rhyme," he argued.

I shrugged.

"I love your curly bouncy hair, and the love you have for gummy bears. Your bright blue eyes that I could never despise. Your ability to make me smile, and your unique style.I think you and me would be great, all I need you to do is agree to go on a date", he said.

It was cute, I'll admit it, but it just didn't describe me. The only true part that was true was the gummy bears.

He was still smiling, waiting for a response.

I felt bad saying no, but it made me cringe to say yes.

"I guess so," I said hesitantly.

He jumped up.

"Yes, yes, yes!!," he yelled.

His cheeks turned a bright shade of pink, then he said, "I meant, yeah, tonight work for you?", he said all too courageously.

"I think you're forgetting something.", I said.

He looked at me puzzled.

"I can't leave the hospital yet.", I told him.

"That's not a problem," he said enthusiastically.

"I'll talk to the nurses. Don't worry, get some rest Ill be back for our date in 2 hours," he ran out the door, with the biggest smile on his face.
