Maya's POV
"Maya...it's time to tell Lucas."At this point I was really annoyed with Riley.
"Riley! Maybe I don't have to have the baby-"
"Maya! It's Lucas' baby too! You can't just make that decision on your own!"
I thought about it, Riley is right. It is Lucas' baby too. At that moment Lucas called in for our daily FaceTime.
I took a deep breath and answered.
"Hi Lucas!"
"Hey! How are you doing?"
"I'm fine-"
Ow! Did you just hit me?
Riley raised her eyebrows.
I took a deep breath.
"Lucas...I have to tell you something..."
"Ok...what is it?"
I ran my hands through my hair.
"Umm...I'm-I'm pregnant."
Lucas' eyes widened
"Maya! That's fantastic!"
I looked up at him. He looked happy, more happy than normal.
"I can't believe it! I'm gonna be a father!"
"Wait...your not angry?"
"Why would I be angry?"
"I don't know, that I got pregnant before we got married? What your parents are gonna think."
"My parents love you, and they have been asking when they would have grand kids before I even proposed!" Lucas laughed
I'm glad to see him like this. He really truly is happy! If Lucas is happy so am I.
I wish you could come home so I don't have to be pregnant alone.
"Only a few more months! I promise!"
Lucas is so positive about everything. The baby, Afghanistan, everything.
"A few more months." I repeated
"same time tomorrow?"
"Sure"
"Maya?"
Yeah?
"I can't wait to come home."
"I can't wait till you come home either." I smiled
After I ended the call I looked over at Riley who was sitting on my bed reading a magazine.
"You just hit a pregnant person you know!"
"I'm sorry! You just needed a little boost to tell Lucas, I'm knew he would be happy." Riley smiled
"Yeah, I guess...since you hit me, you are buying lunch. You wouldn't make a pregnant lady pay for her own food would you?"
"Being pregnant is gonna be your excuse for everything isn't it?"
"Yeah, I smiled
let's go to a buffet..."Leave comments below!
