I heard my doorbell ring and I instantly got excited and nervous. I have a date with the guy I've been crushing on for years now and I can't believe it's actually happening. I quickly went downstairs, took a deep breath, then opened the door. I looked at Dalton and my heart fluttered. He looked so good.

"Wow... (Y/n), you look... Amazing." He said. I blushed and felt my heart flutter again.

"Thank you, you look amazing too." I replied nervously.

"Thank you." He said. I let him in then quickly went upstairs and grabbed my purse and phone. I went back downstairs and Dalton smiled at me.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked.

"Yeah." I replied. We left my house and went out to his car. We got in and he started driving. There was an uncomfortable and awkward silence over us until Dalton finally broke it.

"Are you finding it a little awkward too?" He asked.

"Yeah." I admitted.

"Okay. Sorry, I'm just a little nervous." He said.

"I am too, trust me." I replied.

"Okay, that makes me feel better." He sighed in relief. I smiled then looked out of the window.

We arrived at the movie theatre not long after and walked in. Dalton bought the tickets for Deadpool then we went to buy some snacks. While we were in line, I saw girls looking at Dalton and giggling which made me feel jealous. I mean, of course other girls will find him attractive but hello, we're on a date right now!

Obviously noticing what I was feeling, Dalton reached for my hand and laced our fingers together. I looked up at him and he smiled at me so I smiled back.

Once we'd got our candy, we went into the theatre and got some seats.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked Dalton.

"Sure." He replied.

"Why did you ask me out?" I asked.

"Because I finally worked up the courage to. I've liked you for a while but I've never been brave enough to tell you. I thought you'd say no." He admitted.

"Really? I've liked you for a while to but I never thought you liked me." I said.

"Well, you thought wrong." He said.

"So did you." I replied. He smiled then the lights dimmed and the movie started.

*After movie*

Dalton and I left the theatre, laughing so hard.

"That was the best movie I've ever seen." He said between laughs.

"Agreed." I said. We went out to his car and talked about our favourite parts of the movie the whole way back to my house. When we arrived, I thought I should invite Dalton in.

"Want to hang out for a while?" I asked.

"Sure." He replied. We went inside the house and I made us both a drink.

"I like your house." Dalton commented.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Do you live alone?" He asked.

"Yeah, I moved out of my parents' house when I graduated high school." I said.

"Awesome." He said. I nodded then we talked about random things for a while.

A few hours later, Dalton had to leave so I went over to the door with him.

"Well, I had a lot of fun." He said, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"I did too." I said.

"Would you want to maybe do it again sometime?" He asked. I blushed and smiled.

"I'd love to." I replied. He smiled then it got awkward.

"Would it be bad if we kissed?" He asked nervously.

"No." I whispered. He removed his hand from his pocket, brushed my cheek gently then leaned down and kissed me softly. It was amazing.

He pulled away not long after, we said goodbye then he left. What an amazing date...
