My mom dragged me along to her work friend's house because they were throwing a party, even though I really didn't want to go.

"Mom, can I just stay home?" I asked.

"No." She replied.

"I'm going to be so bored." I complained.

"There will be other kids there." She said.

"My age?" I asked.

"I don't know, all I know is that Kiva has a son who's a year older than you." She said. I sighed then leaned back in my seat.

"Cheer up, (y/n), it will be fun." My mom said. I didn't reply, I just looked down at my phone.

We arrived at the house a few minutes later so we went in and I tried to be friendly.

"All of the other kids are downstairs." Kiva said. I nodded then went down the stairs to see a bunch of teenagers sitting around, talking. They all looked at me and I blushed. I looked at one boy talking to a group of girls and my heart fluttered. He was so beautiful. Dyed blonde hair, bright blue eyes, a perfect smile... Wow...

He looked over at me and I blushed.

"You must be (y/n)." He said.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Awesome, I'm Dalton, Kiva's son." He said. I smiled then he waved me over to him. I sat down beside him and he smiled.

"So, how old are you?" He asked.

"18." I replied.

"Cool, I'm 19." He said.

"Awesome." I said. I saw the other girls glaring at me and I blushed.

"I think those girls want to talk to you." I said quietly to Dalton.

"Well, I want to talk to you so they're going to have to deal with it." He said. I smiled and he smiled too.

"I like your dress." He said. I looked down at it and blushed.

"Thanks, it's like 2 years old." I replied, laughing slightly.

"Well, it looks good on you." He said. I blushed and looked up at him to see him blushing too.

"Sorry, that was awkward." He said.

"It's okay." I replied. He smiled at me so I smiled back.

"Want to go and get a drink?" He asked.

"Sure." I replied. We got off the couch then went upstairs and over to the drinks.

"So, tell me about yourself." Dalton said. I told him everything then he told me everything about him.

"How come we've never met before?" He asked as we were walking back down into the basement.

"My mom's never made me come to the parties you've had." I replied. We sat down opposite each other and he smiled at me.

"Do you have snapchat?" He asked. I nodded then told him mine so he told me his. A few seconds later, I got a snapchat from him. I opened it and giggled. It was him making a really weird face with the caption 'hey'. I sent him one back then I heard him laugh. I saw him take a picture of me then he showed it to me.

"Delete it, I look gross." I said.

"Nope." He replied, smirking.

"Dalton, delete it." I said. He moved to send it so I tried to grab his phone from him. I wrestled him to the ground then finally took his phone away from him. I deleted the picture and smirked then looked down at Dalton. I became very aware that I was sitting on him when I felt his hands on my thighs.

"Oh, uh, sorry." I said. He smiled then sat up. I tried to get off him but he stopped me. He leaned in closer to me and our lips met. We kissed for a few seconds before Dalton pulled away.

"I don't mind." He whispered. He kissed me again and I smiled. I'm glad my mom dragged me here.
