JIMIN'S POV
The first thing I expected was for (Y/N) to open the door to her house and come running towards me, her arms outstretched longingly.
The last thing I expected was for no one to be home—which made me very perturbed. And another thing that made me feel extremely distraught was that her door unlocked, swinging and stopping at certain point that was far enough not to hurt me.
I slipped through the door and into her small, cozy house. Those roses were in the same place; it was like they were never touched.
My body tensed as I walk further into her house. I saw that she had left a teapot full of some type of liquid on her kitchen stovetop, whistling its annoying 'music' as steam arose from it spout. Feeling a bit too responsible than I usually am, I turned off the fire and started off to check upstairs.
As expected, she wasn't there. I frowned, growing more agitated by the second. I bet she's just hiding from me. After all that I went through for her, she's hiding from me. After running through those huge fields of grass...she hides, ungrateful as always.
I sighed, walking back gingerly towards my house, hoping that nobody saw me walk in and out of her own. Even though the possibility for her being at my house is like a 0 out of 300, I still want to check.
I strolled past the door; past the basement that's full of lots of lethal weapons. I stopped dead in my tracks when I heard quiet sobs coming from upstairs as a low and soothing voice was coaxing. I immediately knew who they were.
(Y/N) and JungKook.
"I can't believe he left me..," the she cried. "He's going to come back," JungKook said in a hushed voice. And by the way he said it, I knew he wasn't only trying to comfort her—he was trying to comfort himself, too. "He has to."
Was she crying over me? Me, Park Jimin, who literally could've just got her killed a few weeks ago; who broke her heart multiple times; who bossed her around and never realized how much of a terrible person I am.
I heard the ceiling creak above my head as heavy footsteps made their way in my direction. As soon as JungKook's eyes locked with mine, he squealed slightly and engulfed me in a tight hug.
"Don't ever leave us, again, Hyung," he whispered through sniffles. "I'd rather have dad take over the world than lose you."
I squeezed him tighter, knowing that I've got the best sibling I could ever receive. And I was never going to lose him, either.
