A Short Poem By Me.

A Search For Vowels.

I looked for 'A' on the plains where the buffalo roam

in the forest with the talking lemurs

across the wild treetops

around the riverbend

and on the lonely hill

where I finally found 'A' sitting on a tire swing watching the sunset.

I looked for 'E' in Africa

where the crocodile told me that 'E' had passed by

where the spotted cat chased 'E' away to the watering hole

where an elephant complained about something stuck in his ear

which is where 'E' was curled up hiding

I looked for 'I' in Asia

where I asked the red panda if he had spotted 'I' walking by

where he told me to ask his cousin of black and white

where the trail of half eaten bamboo stalks lead to a chubby panda

where the yin-yang said he heard a strange noise coming from a bamboo shoot

where I followed the noise and found 'I' stuck in a hollow bamboo stick.

I looked for 'O' in Europe

but no one saw it there so i took a boat to America

across the ocean

where sadly my boat stopped working

where I donned my scuba gear

where I asked the nice fish if they had seen 'O'

where they told me to follow the current

where the current took me to a reef

where an octopus said one of his rings itched

where 'O' had fallen asleep on the poor octopus

I looked for 'U' at a baseball game

where the umpire told me to ask the unicorn

where the unicorn told me to follow the rainbow

where the leprechaun told me to look under a rock

where 'U' was relaxing in the cool shade
