I was watching Gravity Falls (like I always am) and my mom was sitting next to me.
So, she sees Gabe (aka this guy:)

And my mom goes: "That's a boy?"
And I was like "uh yeah"
AND SHE GOES "But he has a ponytail and a PINK helmet?"
AND I SAT THERE WITH MY HAND OUT. I WANTED TO YELL "YEAH HES GOT A PINK HELMET??? ANY PROBLEMS LADY?????"
And then in another scene he says "hey what's up in Gabe" and she thought he said "I'm gay" and she said "WHAT KIND OF SHOW IS THIS"
Like I'm actually happy there are a bunch of new shows (like The Amazing World of Gumball and later episodes of Gravity Falls) that are embracing all kinds of love to teach kids even at a young age.
