The head ninja had caught word of what happened to his twin brother Kaze. He had been caught by the Nohrians and gods knew he was bound to be executed, but there was nothing he could do about it.
If Saizo attempted for a second to go out and save him from whatever punishment brought upon him, it'd be nothing more than a suicide mission. He couldn't have that, especially not before he had accomplished his own mission.
But the moment when he saw his brother and Rinkah rush back to Hoshido, panting and severely wounded, Saizo couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over him. How did his brother escape death? He didn't know. He didn't want to ask.
They locked eyes for a mere second and he nodded his head at his brother. This was his way of acknowledging everything. Kaze was alive and well, wounded, but safe. It was the least of his worries, yes, but even Saizo had a heart buried deep within him.
