intro:
in this tutorial, I will teach you how to make the faceless edit shown above ^^. I didn't do it really well though lol.

apps needed:
picsart+superimpose (optional)+phonto (optional)

instructions:
1) Select a photo. I like to put in keywords like weheartit and tumblr to find nice, high quality photos. Below is the photo I selected.

For this edit, select a photo with the person (preferably) facing forward

For this edit, select a photo with the person (preferably) facing forward.

2) Open up Picsart. Go to 'draw', and select the colourful square icon. There, click on the dropper icon, and select the person's skin colour (face).

3) Colour in the face

3) Colour in the face. I used the feathered (is that what it's called?) brush. Just look at the photo below I'm not good at describing. I used this brush because it smooths out the face better. If it works on your Picsart (it used to work on mine but now it doesn't, use the wavy brush (second picture down)).

4) Exit draw after selecting the tick

4) Exit draw after selecting the tick. If you want an added touch, you can keep the eyebrows by selecting the colour and drawing them in.

optional instructions (the full edit):

picsart:
5) Crop the background image for your edit (tools>crop).

6) Using the 'add photo' tab, add the photo you want to be behind the person. Below is the photo I picked. It's a transparent, so I didn't have to bother with cropping away the background.

7) Save

7) Save.

8) Get the picture of your person, and crop the person.

9) Save.

10) Using the 'add photo' tab, layer the images on top of each other, and adjust to reach the effect you like. I'm sure for Picsart there is a quicker way to do this, but to be safe, I use this method.

superimpose:
5) Select and crop your background image to the size you want.

6) Add the thing you want to be behind the person as 'foreground'.

7) Using the 'transform' tab, move the image around as you wish. If it has a background (mine is a transparent), crop it away.

8) Merge

8) Merge.

9) Add the person (faceless) as 'foreground'. Position it and crop it as needed using the 'mask' and 'transform' tabs.

10) Save.

phonto (for picsart+superimpose):
11) Open up your image in Phonto and add text (the font I used:coolvetica). You can actually do this in Superimpose (transform>tools>foreground/background>perspective>text) or you can do this in Picsart using the 'text' tab. Of course, use Phonto if possible, as it has a larger range of tools etc. Phonto is also free.

12) Save

I hope that helped! If you have any questions please comment them. next chapter will be about a diy texture! (I'll be taking requests as well).
