intro:
In this tutorial, I will teach you how to do the broken text style above.apps needed:
phonto+superimposeinstructions:
1) Open up Phonto. Do the first text style from the previous tutorial (optional). So, your text should look like this:2) Now, open up Superimpose. Open up a plain colour as the background, and your text from Phonto as the foreground. Now here's where it went a bit wrong for me. I chose a fuchsia colour for my background, as I wanted to be able to easily mask the background out (more on this later). However, when using the magic wand tool, there were still faint fuchsia outlines, and this did not look too good. So I recommend you use a colour similar to your background. I didn't because I was being lazy and I didn't want to mask out the words by hand.
3) Now, after masking out the entire background, go and select the rectangle mask tool. Mask out the lower half of the text. You should have the upper half left. Save as a png.
Then, invert your mask and mask away the background again (which is why I chose the fuchsia background). Save as a png.
4) I then got a screen cap of Tris from Divergent because this tutorial was inspired by it. I blended (sort of) her in with the background.
5) Get one of your text pngs and arrange it however you want. I arranged it slanting upwards.
Merge. Get your other text png and arrange it as well.
6) Save and you're done!
