intro:
I know that the cover above looks simple, but I promise you this is a useful tutorial. I don't think you'll need it as much if you're doing Instagram edits, but for simple Wattpad covers, this is very useful, at least it has been for me. Basically, I will teach you how to 'extend' a photo to fit the cover size without having to manipulate it.

apps needed:
superimpose/picsart+phonto (full cover)

method:
superimpose:
1) Firstly, open up the photo you are going to use.

2) Choose a constraint

2) Choose a constraint. The one closest to a cover size is 2:3, so I used that one.

As seen in the photo, move the crop thing and adjust its size, and move it over the place you want to blend into the background, like the place where the colours are mostly the same, and preferably at the top (ask questions if you don't understand...

As seen in the photo, move the crop thing and adjust its size, and move it over the place you want to blend into the background, like the place where the colours are mostly the same, and preferably at the top (ask questions if you don't understand I'm not really good at explaining).

3) Open up your photo as the foreground and move it as fit. In this tutorial, I will only teach you how to extend the backgrounds of the same colour. For example, I have to move my picture so that nothing from either side pokes out.
DO NOT DO THIS:

4) Notice that the top and bottom might be different shades

4) Notice that the top and bottom might be different shades. So this is when you have to use the mask tab to make your extension look more realistic.

Turn the smoothness up to high and turn on the soft brush

Turn the smoothness up to high and turn on the soft brush. Blend the pictures into each other by brushing away the edges etc.

5) You're done!

picsart:
1) Open up your picture and crop it (read above first step Superimpose). Use the settings 256x400 and then zoom in and stuff.

2) Go to the add picture tab

3) Go and press the brush with the little gear

3) Go and press the brush with the little gear. Then, press the eraser and like said above, blend it in.

5) Press the tick tab

5) Press the tick tab. It should work, but for me the picture went all pixelated so I don't have the finished product from Picsart with me.

phonto (full edit):
6) Open up the picture in Phonto.

7) Add text. My font was Francois One.

note:
yay I hope you liked the tutorial. I know it was really simple but I was in the mood, you know? I think I might do a sort of double exposure tutorial next so stay tuned.
