Reaping Day -- District Eleven Female

Arrista Leanard, District eleven female! I hope you enjoy, despite the slight shortness :)

Arrista was scared. That's all there was to it. She was terrified. This was by no means her first reaping but her family had been down on their luck so her name was in there 58 times for the grain and parrifin. She had never had her name in more than once. She was gonna get called, she knew it. It was still a tiny percentage compared to other people but she just knew it. She knew that this was the day she would be reaped. "Ladies first" a trill voice rang out through the crowd (I know it's not Effie but I don't know who does actually do it) Effie fished in the bowl and pulled out a name "Arrista Leonard." In that moment Arrista's whole life was collapsing around her. She began shaking as peacekeepers came and grabbed her arms pushing her up on the stage. She couldn't even comprehend what was happening until she was dragged away. That's when it hit her. She began sobbing, shaking, struggling in the peacekeepers grip but to no avail. She was left in the room where her family was meant to come and say goodbye but no one came for almost half an hour until a small girl slipped into the room with something in her hand. She pressed it into Arrista's hand, kissed her cheek and walked out. That's all she got. A little girl who she didn't even know. She opened her palm to find a small locket with a picture of district eleven's sweeping fields where Arrista had worked, played and had grown up. She fastened it around her neck. It was her token
