Chapter 3

I needed two things, to get out of the house and to see Mari. "I'm going to bed" I lied. I didn't particularly like lying but I couldn't tell them I was about to become Chat to go see m'lady.

"That's fine" my dad replied while Felix continued ignoring my existence. It was seconds before I was in my room. I liked the door and transformed.

Knock knock I waited for Mari to open the window. "Good evening m'lady, why's the window closed?" I asked knowing she usually kept it open on purpose so I could visit whenever I wanted.

"I'm grounded" she sighed "it's because I had to skip a few classes last week so I was already grounded and then to top it off they caught me outside after the little visit from Pixie"

I pulled her in for a hug and transformed back into Adrien mid hug. I hadn't realised the time until I looked at Mari's clock "it's midnight, you know what that means don't you princess?"

Mari shook her head completely unaware of what it meant "happy purrthday" I whispered. Mari burst into laughter and once she calmed down she managed to speak again "that's got to be the worst one yet" she laughed.

"But I made you laugh, so I'd class that as a win" I smiled back at her. "Marinette, who are you talking to?" We had woken up her mom. Our eyes widened I panicked and was pushed under the chaise.

Seconds later Mari's mom came through the trap door leading to their house. Marinette had somehow managed to get back up to her bed and had covered herself with her blanket as if she had been in bed the entire time.

"Sorry mom, guess talking to Adrien online this late was a bad idea just wanted to make sure he knows that I have to be on time to all of my lessons if I'm going to be able to go out" she said calmly. "Well, since you're up your father and I have decided that because it's your birthday we're going to un-ground you"

Marinette leapt out of her bed and threw her arms around her mom "thankyouthankyouthankyou" she said so quickly I only just about managed to make out what she said. "Now get some sleep"

As soon as the door closed I crawled from my hiding place and transformed into Chat "well princess, I have a purrthday purresent for you" I smiled giving her a kiss. "Oh and what would that be?"

I mischievously grinned "it's a surprise" I whispered "and I would wear that dress, I'll pick you up at one" I said pointing to her newest design and heading home.
