Scott’s point of view

While driving back I kept staring at the photo.  I can’t believe that I was so selfish and ignored my family for so long.  The picture was perfect to me.  I looked around at everyone talking.  Harry was talking to Aunt Charlotte while Lo was talking to Ted.  This must have been what it was like for Harry when I went to his house.  I just kept smiling to myself.

“What are you smiling about?”  Harry said looking over at me.

“Nothing.  This just feels so surreal.”

When we got back to their house it was pretty late.  I said goodbye to them, but this time I knew it was only a little while till I get to see them all again.  Harry and I pulled away while I looked out the rearview mirror at them all standing together waving.  How stupid was I for leaving them?  Now I know what I’ve been missing in my life.

“That was fun.  They are all really nice.”  Harry said in the passenger seat.

“Yea they really are.”

“I still can’t believe you speak all those languages and own all the businesses.”

“Well believe it Styles.”

He shoot me a glare.  When we got back to my house it was dark already.  Kyle and Big were outside sitting around a fire so we went to join them.

“How’d it go?”  Kyle said

“It was perfect.  You should have come though, they asked about my other brother.”

Big handed Harry and I sticks to make smores.  “Nah it was your time to see them and it sounds like it was good I didn’t go.”

I just smiled looking into the fire.  “Well we are going to head in.  Make sure the fire is out before you come in.  Don’t want a reenactment of that one july 4”  Kyle said walking away.

“I told you it wasn’t my fault!  That was Lauren’s job!”  I yelled back as they both went inside.  Harry looked at me confused.  “One july 4 when we were here Lauren was supposed to put out the fire while we all camped out.”  I started to smile picturing it all in my head.  “Apparently and ember caught my brother and Kyle’s tent on fire.”

Harry was busting out laughing.  We sat there for awhile just in silence.  “I really missed this place.” I said looking around.

“So what are you going to do now?”  he asked sounding sort of scared for what I was going to say.

“What do you mean?”

“Are you going to stay here with your family or are you going to go back to L.A.?”

I sat there for a second thinking.  “What do you think I should do?”

“You know I can’t make that decision for you”

I sat there just thinking…

Harry’s point of view

He sat there looking into the fire for awhile.  I didn’t want him to stay here but his family is amazing and he might lose contact with them again.  He looked bacj upat ready to answer.

“I really missed my family.”  Great he’s staying here…  I looked out at the moon up in the sky.  I felt something on my hand.  He moved over closer to me now.  “I don’t know how I will do with more bad publicity, I’m not that strong of a person.”  It sounded like he was saying goodbye to me.  “But this life here isn’t for me.”  He was smiling at me now.  “How could I not go back to my life?  Making movies and modeling was made for me.  Especially after I know I have people in my life thqat care so much about me.  You made me realize that.  You changed my life.”  We were staring into each other’s eyes.  The fire was dying down to some embers that just outlined our faces.  “thank you.”
