They went to their seats and just as Natalie tried to escape the adviser told her to remain seated. As the room darkened, she could feel her heart begin to race faster and faster. Soon the movie began and as she expected she was terrified, but she kept it to herself.
Jake on the other hand saw that Natalie looked disturbed and laid his hand on the arm rest palm up.
"You can hold my hand if you want to since you seem so scared" ,as she observed him in the dark room she decided to take his offer and she slowly slipped her hand into his. As the movie carried on she sat with her hand entangled in Jake's hand. Only then did she realize how big his hands were compared to hers.
Once the climax of the film came Natalie decided to get up and get something to drink, Jake offered to go instead but she insisted that she went so she could also get some fresh air.
After getting a drink and a box of candy she headed back to the theater room. On the way back to the screen room, a group of guys spotted her and began to question her and eventually they cornered her. Too confused to do anything she just sat silently.
