Something in our bodies.
Oh so gentle and kind and forgiving.
Wants to help those in pain.
It feels what they feel.
Small kind efforts make it do flips in your chest.
Love makes it beat faster in a speedy rhythm.
Boom. Bam. Boom. Boom. Bam.
So sensitive and fragile.
It gets given away so easily.
The good and the bad come along.
Warm gentle hands caress it and shelter it away from harm.
Evil and dark fingers wrap around it, suffocating it in shadows and hurt.
It is picked up and held tightly.
Then dropped and shattered on the ground.
Stepped on and walked across by careless beings.
Traded, abused, hurt, used, and torn.
It slowly becomes alarmed and cautious.
Not knowing who to trust.
Scared, like a little dog who's been locked up to long, it cowards under the glare of another.
Shaking and fidgeting, it speeds up, but not because of the passionate stare from a loved one.
Because evil has drained out the good and happiness in return of fear.
Boom. Boom. Boom. Bam. Boom. Boom. Boom. Bam.
Like the steps coming it's way, the beat starts again.
This abusive and torturous circle begins with the agony of being loved, lost, broken, and buried in the misery of letting this happen again, being foolish again.
Thinking things would change.
Back around goes the cycle.
Something in our bodies.
Being healed, loved, tortured, broken.
A heart is there. Forever will it be.
Don't let it break.
It will try to love.
It's going to fall.......
