I bet you Remus Lupin never thought he'd live past 18, being a most likely unregistered werewolf and all, and yet he lived to be about 35 ish. He spent 7 years of his life with people who took care of him before and after the full moon, and then spent so many more years by himself, transforming alone And James Potter probably thought he'd live forever, and died at 21.
Sirius Black was probably really proud of being so unlike his family, being Gryffindor, fighting against Voldemort, only to be sent to prison under the accusation of working for him.
And I bet you money that his whole entire family, minus Regulus, would have been almost proud that he apparently sold out his friends for the dark side
And Sirius died thinking his brother was a coward, probably.
They never made up. They would have fought about Regulus being dark, and Sirius being, well, not
And Peter died knowing that all his friends thought he was always a traitor, when he helped Harry and Ron escape the Malfoy Manor in the very end
And Remus Lupin never knew about that
Sirius and Regulus never had bodies to bury
I wonder what Reg saw when he drank the potion in that cave
