Peter had two sides we saw in Harry Potter. He was their friend, he became an ILLEGAL ANIMAGUS for his best friends. He pulled pranks with them. He was their friend.
He also made a stupid decision. He sold them out in favor of power and glory.
He dun goofed.
But.
I can't exactly forgive him, for obvious reasons, but I think trying to get rid of all of his childhood innocence and all the good he did isn't fair to the story, him, or the rest of the people he knew.
He wasn't always bad, so don't try to make him evil from the get-go.
There's my opinion, twice in one day.
I'll put away my soapbox for good.
