I stared down at the shimmering map in my lap. I had summoned it a little over a half an hour ago, yet I still made no move to use it. I was scared that it wouldn't work, if this didn't work, one of the most powerful creations in Heaven, I didn't know what chance we have in finding Cas.

When Gabriel had left Xavier appeared no more than ten seconds after. I was bombarded with questions and I managed to have an excuse for every one of them. He didn't like Gabriel that much he had made clear. The discussion of me moving in with him came up again but somehow I managed to convince him that I was tired and that I'd talk about it in the morning.

I still had no intentions of moving in with him. I didn't eat supper with everyone else tonight, but Jackie did bring me up a plate latter on. It's currently 1:42am. I waited until everyone was asleep, not wanting any distractions.

The map was a map of the world, all the continents made small enough so the map itself would be able to be portable.

There was only one out there. The map has been used for centuries amongst the angels. It is able to find any living thing on Earth, as long as it's powered by angel's blood. Any angel is able to use it, as long as they have the energy to summon it. I fortunately do.

From the appearance of it anyone would say it's the same as any other map, only old and warn. However when it gets touched by our holy blood, it changes. I looked towards my left were Cas's sword lay. With a sigh, I picked it up, holding it in my hand.

Before I could think about my actions, I tightened the sword in my grasp and in one swift movement, slashed my wrist.

Hot golden blood instantly poured from the gash and I held it over the map, rubbing the wound over it. The blood swirled around on the paper, changing the form and lighting of everything.

The map was transformed into a gold piece of parchment, all the continents alive and pulsing. The map lit up the dark room, shining on my face. The ripped edges shined with gold. Pure gold.

I ran my hand over the map, "Cassiel." I whispered.

Nothing. The map stayed the same, no changes. I closed my eyes, breathing heavily. "No," I whispered to myself, "No, no, no. No, no, no."

I reopened my eyes staring at the map, willing it to do something. Anything. "Please," I whimpered.

"Work, damn it." I screamed, slamming my fist into the bed.

"Anna!" Eli screamed from outside the door, his fist slamming on it repeatedly, "Anna! What's wrong? Open the door!"

"One sec. Nothing's wrong just the, uh, T.V wasn't working."

I jumped up, repeating my actions from earlier today, searching for a band-aid. I found gauze in the cupboard, wrapping it around my wrist quickly. I grabbed a bobby-pin from my hair, connecting the pieces.

I shrugged, it'll have to do. Running back into the room I shoved on my sweater, making sure my wound was covered.

I yanked open the door. Eli was standing there in nothing but pajama pants looking the perfect image of bright eyed and bushy tailed. He ran a hand over his eyes tiredly. "Are you OK, Anna?" He sounded like he could fall asleep at any moment.

I nodded "I'm fine, Eli. I told you I was just trying to fix the T.V, it wasn't working. It's fine now, though. Just go back to bed."
