Princess Patrol

Marinette's P.O.V.

Today is another day! To get out of bed and deal with everyone's stupidity......

Oh wait...... It's Saturday!!!

Oh thank god! I didn't do my homework- I had forgot because Chat came over...
AHHG! CHAT! He messed it up! He made me forget!

Buuuut.... He did help me with my Chinese... A LOT.

I wonder if he'll stop by today too.... Maybe he'll even stop by earlier. He is my age so he doesn't have school today either- he could totally visit me anytime

And...
And I look
TERRIBLE!

I quickly jump out of bed and sit in front of a mirror, brushing my hair.

Once that is done I scurry into a bathroom to wash my face, and brush my teeth.

I'm about to put my hair up in my regular pig tails, but instead I put in a bun, my bangs still out and in front of my face

I smile, sit down into my chair, and swirl around.

But then something dawns upon me....

"Did I just make myself look good for chat??"
I ask myself aloud

I can hear tikki giggling

I put my face in my hands as tikki comes out in front of my face and laughs
"Hehe! You want him to think your cuuute!"
She teases

I playfully swat at her and smile, "I want to look good for myself, I just like it more when I have confidence in front of people"

Tikki nods and actually believes me

I don't even know if I believe me...
OF COURSE I DO! I wouldn't get dolled up for chat... Would I???

Yeah, I wouldn't. It's just that I like to look presentable in front of others

That's all...

"So, Marinette- what are you going to do today?"

I sit there in silence, thinking..
I really have nothing to do...

"I guess I can make more designs... Maybe even actually make a few into the real deal"

Tikki smiled, "that sounds cool!"

I smile at her and get up, I pull my drawer open and look at all my designs...

I'm missing one... I search through them again, and try to figure out which one is missing...
Oh.... No...

It's the one that I inspired by chat noir!!!
It-it wasn't anything weird! It was just a cat type outfit....... Uugghhh what if he saw it??? If he has it, what would he do with it??
I'm FREAKING out

Then I hear laughing behind me, I instantly swing around

"Looking for this, princess?"
Chat says teasingly, dangling the design in front of my face

"Chaaat! Give it!" I instantly go to grab it and he starts to move it away
But then stops dead in his tracks and stares at me with slightly widened eyes

My hand also stops when I see his gaze,
"Wh-what?" I ask nervously, because of his intense stare

"You... You look good"

I instantly remember my hair being in a bun, that was so different from what I usually did...

I felt my face heat up
"Uhhhh" I didn't really know what to say...

"Oh- uh... Here.." He straitened up and just handed me the design, looking away and rubbing the back of his neck

I hesitated at first but then took the design from him,
"Thank you...." I stare at the design then sheepishly hide it behind me- remembering that the design was inspired by him

"Wait a second..." I then put the design in the drawer and turn around sharply and scowl at him

He leans back a bit and smiles "haha- woah.. What's up?"

"Why did you have this??"

He grinned slyly and raised his eyebrows
"I was intrigued with the design..."

My face flushes slightly

"Shut up" I turn around, facing away from him, and cross my arms

"Awwwe! Princess! C'mon, don't do this" he says in a dramatic voice, obviously playing around

I let out a 'hmph!' Noise and I can hear him giggle

"Well, I got to go, I have patrols tonight"

I FORGOT ABOUT PATROLS

"Oh okay.."
I turn around and I go to wave

But he is already gone

I look at the clock.... I still have time.
So I goof off with tikki

But time goes by quickly...
I'm on the street and it's dark out. I'm just Marinette. I had just got done shopping and I was carrying a ton of bags all myself- and I had to walk home now..

Sorry Chat.... Ladybug won't be at patrols tonight.... I look down and feel sad... I feel like I'm letting Chat down...

"Princess?" Chat jumps down from a building in front of me and I almost fall backwards

"You scared me!"

"Oh- sorry," he says while smiling
"What are you doing out so late?"

"My parents made me go shopping for stuff"
Chats eyes immediately look at the amount of bags I'm holding, and with out saying a word, he takes most of them from me

"What are yo-"

"Ladybug isn't going to show up to patrols tonight, so I'm going to help you, no way am I letting you carry all these home" he says plainly

I smile.
He's being real nice....

Me and Chat walk all the way home with bags in hand

We finally get there. I tell chat to give me all the bags so my mom doesn't see him, he agrees. I tell him to wait up in my room for me

Once I get the bags inside I go up to my room, sure enough, chat is sitting on my bed

I laugh to myself- it's so cute to see chat in my pink room.

I open my drawer and pull out my designs and lay each one out on my bed

Chats ears perk up

"Okay, so I want to actually make one of these, which one should I do first? Because I can't decide..." I ask him,

He turns towards the designs and looks at each of them, then he grins

He points to one

"This one" he says as he winks at me

It's the one inspired by him

My eyes widen a bit... But then I think about it... Hehe- time for me to surprise him

I pick it up, "okay!"

His eyes snap open wide and he stares at me
"Wait- really?!"
His face flushed pink and he keeps blinking
As if he doesn't believe it

"Yeah, I think it would be fun"

He stares at the design for a while, then he looks back up at me... Then at the design again... He continues this for about a minute..

"Can..... Can I see the finished product"
Now my face goes pink
"H-huh?"

"N-nothing!!"

We were both flustered now.

I look down at the design then calm down..

"Of course"

He looks at me with a face that's red, he then smiles
"Looking forward to it"
His cocky-self is back

I raise a brow at him
"Me too"
His face flushed red
And now his cocky-self is gone again
