Nani's POV

Oh she's gonna get it once I get my hands on her.

I glared at my baby sister Lilo from my spot behind Mr. Bubbles, the social worker who had decided to pay a little visit to our humble home. I knew she was mad at me for being late to pick her up from school (again) but that didn't mean she could make our lives impossible and make me look bad in front of this man, precisely the man that would decide on her future. Well I hope Mr. Bubbles didn't take on Lilo's jokes about vodoo dolls and me disciplining her with bricks and pillow cases too serious.

-In case you're wondering, this did not go well. You have three days to change my mind.

Ok, so it did go awfully. He firmly opened the door, ripping off the tons of nails that had succeeded on stopping my entrance through the front door. I cringed when the door was shut again, leaving me completely heartbroken at how things had went with the social worker and... well very angry.

As Lilo shouted running around the house, I chased after her just wanting this madness to stop. I finally caught her in my arms, but clever as this little demon is she dropped tons of saliva on my arm with her tongue so she quickly got loose.

-Eww! Lilo!

I shouted but there was no response this time. The house was completely silent, which indicated me Lilo had opted for hidding: and I knew just her favorite hidding place.

I firmly walked to the laundry room and placed a big blanket over the floor, right in front of the dryer. Silently like a little mouse, I crept on top of the place my sister was hidding and shut the door with my foot, wanting her to believe I was gone. Not two seconds later a little girl was crawling out of the machine and the second after she was being wrapped and loaded over my shoulder with the blanket I used as a trap. This was a piece of cake.

I carried her to the living room and carefully put my growling sister on the floor, who hissed at me before I grabbed her by her arm to prevent another run away. I just felt so frustrated on how things had went that day.

-Why didn't you wait at the school? You were supposed to wait there!, I started scolding my sister but it was no use.

All she'd do is try to break free and whine. I couldn't talk to her like this.

-Lilo! Do you not understand? Do you want to be taken away, really? Answer me!, I spat harshly as tears pooled in her big beautiful eyes.

-No!, she said pulling at her arm again.

And that's all she repeated until she threw herself on the floor like a little baby in a tantrum and I just couldn't deal with it anymore. The frustration was too much, and Lilo seemed to be doing everything to be taken away by the social service. Maybe she did hate me after all.

-Ugh you're such a pain, I growled softly in my hands and that seemed to click something in Lilo.

-Then why don't you sell me and buy rabbit instead!, she spat mockingly of my Christmas wish last year. Rabbits are cute after all, unlike someone I know.

-At least a rabbit would behave better than you!, I shouted right back to my sister who had started to make her way upstairs.

-Go ahead! Then you'll be happy because he'll be smarter than me too, she said as her voice trembled a bit.

-And quieter!

-You'll like it because it's stinky like you!, she said and right after that slammed the door of her room.

Oh that's it.

I took a deep calming breath before climbing up the stairs to my sister's room. It was about time for me to put my foot down on this entire situation. Lately Lilo had been nothing but a brat to me and I was honestly doing my best for this to work, but it'd never do if I didn't draw a few boundaries here.
