Brian and Deacy had always been the most centered in the band whereas Roger and of course Freddie had always been the ones with the most bratty and childish ways. It was only natural that the first ones had assumed the role of keeping the other two at bay, especially Brian who has these paternal features.

Freddie had apologised in his own way for being late before, more times than the band could count, but when he showed up one day completely hammered the remaining members of Queen (who had been waiting for him for hours) finally had enough.

You see, the night before the manager of the band had suggested Freddie that sun had set in the meadow of Queen, and that he'd do a lot better working on his own. Feeling the betrayal beaming from the greedy man, and of course fueled by the drugs that ran through his system, he had no second thoughts about throwing the manager out of the car and of course getting him fired. The worst thing was that Freddie was oblivious to the fact that the man who had actually orchestrated everything remained sitting in the car, right next to him. Paul.

Of course the band heard about it the very next day, so when Freddie arrived late as usual they wasted no time confronting him. Brian was already pissed with the fact that the hour they had spent waiting for him it had all been about Deacy's new song and Roger not wanting to play it. Needless to say no one in the room was in a mood to deal with his majesty.

"You fired Ried without consulting us. You don't make decisions for the band!" Roger roared as the extravagant brat made his way into the recording studio.

"I'm terribly sorry. It's done" he replied taking no note of Roger's anger and indeed showing no sorrow at all.

"Are you high again?" Brian asked going straight to the point, feeling sick and tired of the lead vocal's life decisions lately.

"Well done Columbo" he sassed to his partner that was doing everything to keep posture. "Don't be such a bore. I'm here" he stated as if the rest of the group could just ignore the fact he had been poisoning himself for weeks now.

"I don't care if you're shit faced, as long as you can sing" John said while handling him the song he had been working on hard for the past few days.

"Ugh John, no. I don't want to play it" Roger whined loudly when his bandmate handed him the blessed song under the stern look of a Brian who was losing his patience with each second that ticked on the clock.

"Then I'm all for it" Freddie interrupted the blonde boy in order to piss him off a little further. "I'm tired of the bloody anthems. I want the energy of the clubs, bodies moving..."

"Disco?" Brian asked incredulously, thinking he was supporting Josh's song just to piss the blonde boy off.

"It's just not our thing!" Roger protested loudly seeing as he wasn't being heard. "It's not Queen!"

"Queen is whatever I say it is!" Freddie exclaimed finally going over the edge. Here he was, trying to do what he was born to do and all his partners were doing was question him, and it was even worse seeing as he had defended them just last night!

"Then you can play your own drums then" the blonde lad made his final threat, walking towards Freddie until their faces were inches apart.

Freddie's reaction was swift. He took the song Deacy had composed and shoved it right into the lad's face, pushing him away from his personal space. To this Roger charged against him twice as hard, not feeling slightly intimidated by the fact his bandmade was a former boxer. He could throw in a couple punches too, especially when he was this angry.

"Hey, hey! It's enough" Brian said while ripping them apart with the poor help of Deacy, who clearly didn't want a major part in this. He just wanted to play his song. The curly headed man on the other side had enough of both of them and was willing to put an end to this constant fight between his younger bandmates.
