The sun breaking through the windows awoke Blossom. She felt as if she was drifting, but surely she couldn't be. Could she? It took a few seconds before common sense kicked in, and Blossom realised it was just her head that was moving up and down. Blinking furiously, Blossom tried to figure out what was going on through the fog in her brain.

When her vision came into focus, Blossom stopped breathing. Her head was rested on none other that Devlin's naked chest. Her hand wrapped around his shoulder blade keeping her tighter to his body. Her leg slung over his large muscle thigh, and rested comfortably against his groin.

Blossom couldn't help but stare at his body. He had a firm chest, which tapered down into a narrow waist and broad shoulders which his height that even more terrifying. A thin trail of dark hair ran down his naval and over the impressive muscles on his stomach. Until it vanished under the duvet.
Blossoms gaze swept up his neck, a lean jaw with a sprinkling of dark stubble. Even in his sleep, Devlin Salvador was gorgeous.

"I can feel you staring at me" Blossom gasped when Devlin spoke in a husky, gravely voice.

Blossoms breath caught in her throat for the second time that morning. Moving suddenly. She snatched her hand of his chest and scooted along the bed until she neared the edge.

"You've been ignoring me, since Monday" Devlin continued. His eyes, still closed and the duvet still only went to the bottom of his stomach.

Blossom gulped away the guilt she felt when she saw his face harden at the mention of her ignorance. It wasn't like she wanted to, but she had no choice. There was so many rumours going around at school about them and it made Blossom sick whenever someone glanced too long at her.

Blossom started noticing the looks on her second day. Malcolm met her at The main door to the school. There they chatted and laughed before walking to Blossoms locker, with Malcolm reading her timetable and telling her where her rooms were. A group of girls walked by, all looking similar with skirts and pink tops on. They glared at Blossom before stomping off. Blossom wouldn't of thought anything by it, until one of them coughed and said 'slut'. Malcolm didn't hear anything and carried on chatting about where they were meeting Devlin. Which Blossom bunked off.

"How did you get into my room?" Blossom questioned, she ignored the feeling of guilt building up in her stomach and instead thought about how they would look if her parents suddenly came into her room. Blossom looked at her windows but they were still shut. When Devlin took too long to answer, Blossom got a horrible feeling in her stomach. "Devlin, was it you who found my keys on Wednesday?" Blossom questioned again. The blush covering his cheeks gave him away, but Blossom couldn't believe it. Unbelievably angry, she jumped out of the bed and stared at Devlin. He had the grace to not look her in the eyes. "Devlin, why? Do you know how sick that is to copy my keys?" Blossom shouted. "You can't do that!".

"It's not sick, I just.." Devlin started to say.

"You broke into my house!" Blossom shrieked. As much as she thought Devlin was very good looking, Blossom just couldn't believe what he had done.

"Calm down" Devlin said in a sweet sensible voice. Blossom watched him take a couple of deep breaths before drawing himself up from his laid down position and standing up.
Blossom watched as he shrugged his large shoulders in an almost apologetic way. He blew out a large breath before beginning. "I know it sounds bad, but you don't understand. Your mine. I know you don't get it. I can't explain any other way than telling you about my family's history" Blossom watched, entranced as he gripped his fingers through his unruly dark hair. "For centuries my family has been able to know their soul mates you can say. My family line is only ever men, and women marry into it. That's how it has always been. That's how it will always be for years to come. We love, care, support and most of all protect our soul mates. They are the other half of us. Half of our heart. Just as you are mine"

Devlin's voiced dipped an octave as he walked towards Blossom. Her uncooperative body relaxed slowly, before she cautiously moulded herself to his muscular frame. Every hard ridge of his body aligned perfectly with her soft parts. Blossoms head rested comfortably on his chest. Devlin's arms wrapped themselves tight around her body. Not even an inch between them.

"Good" he whispered before adding quietly "Mine"

Even though the anger from Devlin stealing a key to her house simmered down a little, Blossom couldn't help but feel suffocated. Would he always be so possessive?

"I'm sorry" the apology came with a quick squeeze and a kiss to the top of the head.

"Devlin" Blossom whispered. A hum was the only response. "I want that key" A chuckle vibrated through his body, shaking his large shoulders and sending a delicious shiver down her spine.

"Not a chance"
