Chris' POV

We just got to the border of aunt Helen's territory .

"Okay guys ready to start over ?" Lace asked .

I've been really quiet and mean lately ... I yelled at josh because he said he needed to pee . Ugh I think I'm just mourning .

We drove up to the little shack .

"Hello can I ha-" the old man started to say

"Listen buddy I'm Christi Meyer Luna Helen's niece let us through"I snapped

"Oh my apologies go on in " the old man said with a smile .

I smiled back "thanks " I said

We pulled up and saw aunt Helen with two men , and two boys

"Do you smell that ?" Lace said

"What ?"

"That smell of wood,and cinnamon" she said

She jumped out of the car and stared straight towards who I think is my cousin

"Mine " she breathed out

They ran to each other and just stood there

"Hi Chris I'm so sorry about your father and mother "a man said

"That woman was definitely not my mother or Josh's " I snapped

"Sorry sweetie " my aunt said

"Anyways this is my mate Ray and my eldest son Justin , over there with your friend , and my youngest son Cody " she said pointing to a dirty blonde with piercing blue eyes .

I shook hands with everyone except Justin... He seemed a little occupied .

"Let's all go in and have a family dinner " Helen said

"Sure , Lacy were all going inside . " I yelled over my shoulder

"We're coming" Justin said

We got inside it was huge .... It was three stories and five bedrooms each floor ... And there was other houses around the main house .

"Your rooms are on the third floor with us .the alpha floor. We have beta, on the second floor ,the first floor has the third in command . The closest houses to the main house is the pack fighters and the pack doctors." Ray explained. Oh dang this was a huge pack .

We all sat at a long table . The main course is pot roast mmmmm....

"It's really good aunt Helen ." Josh says

I smile and ruffle his hair.

"Thank you Josh " she replied

"Yeah it's really good " I smile .... I haven't done that in a while

She looks taken aback a bit then smiles "thank you Chris "

-------in my room ------

I just put Josh to bed and I hear a knock on the door "come in " I say

And I see a dirty blonde head pop in .

"Hey Cody "

"Hey , how you liking the pack so far ."

"Oh it's cool "

"Ok good we're having a bonfire to welcome you guys "

"Oh thanks " I smile

"Yeah ... Um would you like to go for a run tomorrow ? I have to ask you something "

"Um.... Surreeee???" I say nervously " are you going to kill me and hide my body in the bushes ? "

"Hahaha.,. No were werewolves remember .... They'll smell your blood . I need to do it somewhere else " he replied sarcastically .

I looked at him fake-horror stricken . "NOOOOOO" I yelled

" hahahaha just kidding " he said

" ok meet me outside on the porch at 4:30 "

"Okay 4:30 pm "

"What no no no 4:30 am"

"WHAT?!!!? ARE YOU CRAZY "

"It's the best time ... So go to bed now "

"Ok ... " he walked to the door "oh and Cody?"

"Yeah?"

"Absolute best cousin ever ... Thanks for taking us in"

"Hey no problem ...that's what family is for "
