CHAPTER 31

The next morng, all of them woke up early & started getting ready. Manik was in the washroom hving a bath when there was a knock on the door. Nandini got up from the bed & slowly walked to open the gate. As she opened it two small hands wrapped around her legs. Nandini looked down & saw Kavya hugging her with a sleepy face. Just then Navya came running behind, as she saw kavya hugging Nandini she said,
Navya: Sorry nandini, i hope Kavya didn't distrub your sleep.
Nandini: Arey no no Navya i wasn't sleeping
Navya: Kavya lets go let chachi get ready.
Kavya: No i wont go... I want to get ready with chachi!!
Navya: Kavya!!
Nandini: Navya let her stay na... I'll get her ready.
Kavya: yeah!!
Soon Navya left & Nandini waited for Manik to come out of the washroom so that she could give kavya a bath.
As Manik came out Kavya greeted him nycly n soon nandini got her ready.
Nandini: Manik u go to the restrant downstairs n take Kavya along with u.. All must be waiting for breakfast, i'll join u soon.
Manik: But Nandini I-
Nandini: Manik... Go i'll join u soon!! N yes dont wait for me, u start ur breakfast.
Manik: Nanidni u knw na I never-
Nandini: I knw u never eat before me but plz start i m coming in 10.
Manik: Ohk but come soon.....
With this Manik & Kavya went to the restraunt & found the others waiting.
Mukti: Hey Manik!!
Manik: Hi guys...
Aliya: Where is Nandini??
Manik: Actually she was getting Kavya ready so she got late... She'll join us soon
Dhruv: Ohk come u start till then..
Manik joined them but didn't eat anything, instead he started feeding Kavya. Abhi noticed it & smiled, Mukti asked him the reason for his smile when he motioned towards Manik. And soon all of them knew the reason bcoz of which he was not eating. Just then Manik took another bite near Kavya, but she had her gaze fixed on the other side.
Manik: Baby... Eat na!!
Kavya didn't reply to him & instead pointed to the other side. All of them turned towards that direction & saw something surprising.
Nandini was walking towards them busy in something on her phone. But the thing that surprised them most was her look. Nandini was wearing cute pink coloured shorts & a blue tube top. It was an off shoulder top which Mukti had once made her buy. Her hair were tied up in a pony tail leaving only a few strands which were coming in front of her face. With a stylish sling bag on a side she looked beautiful. It was one side of her which was new to each & everyone of them. She was almost near them when suddenly her phone rang. She checked the caller's name & then looked towards all of them.

Nandini: Sorry guys... I'll just be back, its from the hospital. I hv to take this call.
And saying this she walked to a side & attended the call. All of them looked at her awestuck, especially manik.
2 mins latr nandini came back & Abhi broke the silence.
Abhi: OMG, Nandini is that u!!
Mukti got up & hugged her,
Mukti: Nandini, u r looking like a 18 yr old girl, just out of skul.... Even in college u looked older than what u look today. Who would beleive u r married. She smiled at Mukti & then Aliya said,
Aliya: Really yr u look amazing.
Nandini smiled at them & sat there. But her eyes were fixed on her love as she wanted to knw what he felt on seeing her. Manik couldn't take his eyes off her from the moment she had came but still he didn't say anything. Cabir noticed him & said,
Cabir: Manik Baba vese toh u never stop ur romance even in front of us, then what happened today.... Rn't u gonna say anything to Nandini!!
Manik gave him a stern look & then again turned towards nandini. He bent forward closer towards her. Nandini looked at him with wide eyes as she thought he was going to kiss her in front of everyone, she immediately shifted her gaze downwards. And then suddenly felt Manik's hand on her head. She looked up towards him & realised that he was removing her hair band to open up her hair. As he did so, he himself setted her hair properly & then said,
Manik: Now u r looking more beautiful than anyone else can ever look...
Nandini blushed at it & getting the chance all the others started teasing them. But then Manik asked them all to shut up & started serving some breakfast for Nandini. Nandini started eating followed by Manik as well. Soon all of them left the hotel & then went to a few famous places in Paris. The day went awesome & FAB5's fans made it a bit grand as well. It was around 7 in the evening when sameer said to dhruv,
Sameer: Daddy, i m tired.
Dhruv picked him up in his arms & then Cabir said,
Cabir: Guys I think we should move back to the hotel....
Aliya: No, we hv to go 4 shopping
Dhruv: Aliya, last week only u all did so much shopping, not again.
Mukti: Yes but that was mumbai... This is Paris, the shopping hub of the world!!
Cabir: Ohk so u all go ahead, i m least interested in shopping... Dhruv & i will take the kids with us to the hotel.
Manik: Gud Idea!!
Soon Cabir & Dhruv left with the kids & the rest moved for some shopping. They all moved around from one store to the other. After about an hour, when Aliya was asking somw suggestions from Mukti & Nandini, Mukti suddenly felt a little dizzy. She didn't say it to anyone & simply had some water. A few minutes later, Nandini & Mukti were standing outside the store for Aliya & Navya to come out. Manik & Abhi were standing little away & eating something.
Nandini: I don't know why are Aliya & Navya taking so long.
Mukti: Aliya is paying the bills... I think they'll be here soon.
Nandini: By the Mukti, thanks for helping me... I think we should now try out something from that store from where navya got that suit, what do u say??
She turned towards Mukti & saw her holding her head,
Nandini: Mukti r u fine??
But before she could get an answer Mukti suddenly fainted & was about to fall but Nandini held her. Nandini turned towards the direction where manik was standing & shouted,
Nandini: MANIK.... ABHI...!!!
Both of them turned towards her & saw Mukti, they came running to her & at the same tym Aliya & navya also came. While all the others got hyper, Nandini took out some water & sprinkled it on Mukti's face. But seeing it not work, she said,
Nandini: Guys, we hv to take her to the hospital.
Abhi picked her up & they all rushed to the nearest hospital. They entered the hospital & went to the reception.
Manik: We need a doctor!!
Receptionist: What happened??? Sorry sir but we dont hv any doctor available right now... I m afraid u will hv to wait for 30 mins.
Manik: What do u mean u hv no doctor???
Receptionist: Sir there r two serious operations going on so all the three senior doctor's r busy in it & the rest staff has left.
Manik got really angry listening this but befire he could say anything, nandini came forward & said,
Nandini: I too am a doctor, i can check her, i just need the equipments & medicines.
The lady looked at her from top to bottom & seeing Nandini's look she didn't beleive that she could be a qualified doctor.
Receptionist: Sorry but we can't allow any one else randomly like this.
Manik got further angry & shouted,
Manik: Either u arrange a Doctor right now or just let her check, or u hv no idea what i can do to u & ur hospital.
Nandini kept her hand on his shoulder to calm him down & said,
Nandini: Manik, don't worry let me talk.
Nandini moved closer towards the receptionist & took out her practising license from her purse & then giving it to her she said,
Nandini: This is my ID & i m allowed to practise in any hospital around the globe so plzz coorparate with us...
Receptionist: Ohk f9, I'll get the arrangements done.
And within 5 mins nandini was in the room with Mukti & the rest were waiting outside. All were very tensed for mukti. About half an hour latr, Nandini opened the door & came out. All the other rushed towards her, seeing nandini's serious face Manik asked,
Manik: Nandini, how is Mukti?? What happened to her??
Abhi: Is she fine?? What happened??
Nandini: Actually Abhi.... Mukti....
Nandini stammered while saying, manik held her hands & then said,
Manik: Nandini plz... U r scaring us... Say it!!
Nandini: Manik... Woh Mukti na!!! She... She is pregnant.
And with this Nandini smiled broadly & Abhi said,
Abhi: R u serious??
Nandini: Yes abhi, Mukti is 1 month pregnant..
Manik: But why did she faint then??
Nandini: Becoz she hasn't taken proper rest from the past 3 days & was very tired... But there is nothing to worry.
Listening this Manik immediately hugged Nandini tight, Nandini saw Abhi moving inside the room so she broke the hug & said,
Nandini: Abhi wait!!! Mukti is still unconsious due to the heavy dose of medicines, she will get up in a few minutes...
Abhi: Ohk...
Abhi went in & sat beside Mukti, he held her hand & waited for her to get up... 15 mins latr Mukti opened her eyes & slowly said,
Mukti: Abhi....
Abhi immediately stopped her from saying anything by keeping his hand on her lips & said,
Abhi: Wait, i'll just be back.
He rushed out to call Nandini. The next minute Nandini entered with the others & asked,
Nandini: Mukti r u still feeling dizzy...
Mukti: No, I m f9... But what r u doing in this Doctor's coat.
Aliya: No doctor was available so, Nandini herself checked u....
Mukti: But what happened to me suddenly??
All of them smiled looking at her & then Abhi motioned nandini to tell her. Nandini sat beside her & said,
Nandini: Mukti, soon u r going to give one more member to Manik's gang!!
Mukti heard her & looked towards Manik in a confused way. Nandini kept her hand on Mukti's womb & said slowly,
Nandini: Congratulations Mukti... U r 1 month pregnant.
Mukti looked at her & smiled immediately.
Mukti: What??
Nandini simply smiled & hugged her. All of them were very happy, they sat down & Nandini said,
Nandini: Now, u all wait here for sometime. I'll go & get the formalities done & then get her a discharge.
Manik: Sure!!
Nandini moved out & finished the formalities being the doctor who checked Mukti. She then called Manik out to sign the forms as the pateint's family. Just then one of the operations going on got finished & the senior doctor of the hospital came out. The nurses went to him & filled him with what all happened.
Both Manik & Nandini were standing at the reception when a voice came from behind, "Dr. Moorthy...".
Manik turned towards the other side to see a doctor standing there, he was almost in his sixties. He stood there was along with his subordinates. Nandini smiled seeing him & moved towards him. Manik followed at a little distance.
Nandini: I think just Nandini suits u better Doctor.
DOctor: Ohk then, but i surprised to see such a drastic change in u preety girl... Earlier i think u looked much more older than this.
He said looking at Nandini's attire. Nandini smiled at him. Manik was standing a little away, seeing nandini talk to this american doctor.
Doctor: So, how come u r here Dr. Moorthy, got bored in Australia or What??
Nandini: No no just came for a vacation & yes... now u should call me Dr. Malhotra, instead of Dr. Moorthy.
Doctor: Ohh so u hv got married!!! WOW...
Nandini turned towards Manik & moved her hand forward towards him asking him to come forward, Manik smiled & held her hand,
Nandini: Doctor, meet my husband, Mr. Manik Malhotra.... & Manik, meet Dr. Smith, he was the one who trained me during my earlier months as a doctor.
Manik smiled & shaked hands with him.
Doctor: Nyc to meet u young man, i must say ur wife is a really talented Doctor...
Manik smiled at it & said, Manik: Thank u!!!
He again turned towards Nandini asked,
Doctor: So still practising as Dr. Albert's junior or got to his level.....
Nandini: No doctor, now i m practising in India, Mumbai...
Doctor: Ohk Good!!! And now i get that why was my staff talking about this random new doctor...
He turned towards the nurse & said,
Doctor: Let all the formalities done by Dr. Malhotra.... I knw she doesn't look like one but she is a gr8 Doctor.
Nandini smiled & said,
Nandini: So i'll just go & get things done!!!
And then Manik saw her walk away, Just then the doctor said to him,
Doctor: Young man u really seem to be very special for her.... I hv spent so much tym with her but the brightness on her face this tym is totally new!! Keep it up & do take good care of her.... She deserves all the happiness in this world..
Manik: She definately does!! By the way Thanks...
After that Manik walked towards Mukti's room. Half an hour later, they all moved out of the room to go back to the hotel. Nandini was walking next to Mukti holding her properly, when Dr. Smith again came in front of them.
Doctor: So young lady I hope u r feeling good now!!
Mukti: Much better doctor...
Doctor: Good... And u don't need to worry at all, u hv the best doctor u could get as ur friend... I m sure she'll take care of u!!
Mukti: Yes off course..
Doctor: Nandini can i plz have a word with u...
Nandini smiled at him & then turned towards Mukti,
Nandini: U guys carry on i'll be back in 5 minutes... Abhi take care of Mukti!!
Manik nodded & they all moved out. As they went Dr. Smith said,
Doctor: Sorry to stop u like this Nandini, but i needed ur phone no., actually there is one patient of mine in Mumbai, but now since u r there only I don't think i'll hv to come all the way to there, if u handle his case for me.
Nandini: Ohh sure doctor... No problem, I'll definately take this case...
Doctor: But i m afraid this case is not that easy!! U will hv to work really hard for it...
Nandini: Its ohk doctor, Patients come before everything else.... I'll do all that i m able to!!
Doctor: I knw that & therefore i m sure u will be able to handle it... Ohk so u give me ur phone no., I'll tell u the rest case details latr, & i'll also send u his reports. For now u should go ur frndzz r waiting.
Nandini smiled & gv him her phone no. & soon joined the others in the car.
