A Daughter's Poem

I miss you so much, daddy
It's already been six years
I know that you can see me
Behind my pillow, in tears

I still long for your presence
Your smile, laugh and love
I miss your hugs and kisses
Even though you're above

Are you okay in heaven?
Because here, I am okay
Even though I can't see you
I know you're here anyway

Can you hear my prayers
Every night before I sleep?
Please, just know that I love you
And I miss you that I'd weep

I know you see me everyday
And I do hope you're happy
Every night, I think of you
Because I miss you, daddy

It's my father's birthday, May 15, and yeah, this is for him. 💕
