This Isn't A Fantasy

Did you ever feel like crying
Because you're so confused?
Like what the hell is happening?
I'm wearing the wrong shoes!

Why are people cruel?
Why are people mean?
I'm living as a beggar
Not a princess, not a queen

They're shutting me out
To darkness, to oblivion
Sometimes I even wish for
My life to be just a fiction

I want to escape this
But I know there is a barrier
Living a great life?
Forever became a never

I'm losing hope now
This is the life for me
A path that I had chosen
But a path that won't set me free

My story isn't a fantasy
It's a reject to everyone's eyes
They have me hidden at the back
Where what I hear are goodbyes

So I'm surrounded with books
Books wrongly chosen
Because in this life we're imperfect
This is our hell, and this is our heaven
