Quicksand

You used to drive me home
To make sure I'm alright
You even said 'be safe'
Every single night

I still remember when
Your braid was a big mess
But still I walked to school
Like it's my favorite dress

And that one time at lunch
I laughed too hard while eating
I spewed some food on you
But still you just sat there smiling

But then it all stopped
Like everything went wrong
What happened to us?
You ended us like a song

You stopped calling me
You suddenly disappeared
It was like your bubble popped
The thing that I had feared

Our love was once so great
Like it would always stand
But then it all went down
We got sucked in quicksand

I feel so tired right now. Like all the energy had been sucked out of me. Ugh. I think I need sleep. #ThisIsWhatHappensWhenYouDanceTooMuch
