Imagine #3 - Stefan

Prompt: "All these new feelings are scaring the shit out of me!"

Summary: Stefan admits that he is in love with you.

Your POV
It took him some time but he got there. Stefan got there. He actually made it. He has gotten over Elena. Well over enough to be around her in general.

Ever since their break up, I've been there for him, making sure he had someone trustworthy to confine in. And that's what I was just doing.

"It's okay, Stef" I smile at him. He looks up at me, from his spot on the couch, before shaking his head and looking down. I mentally groan and continue my pacing. "Would you stop?!" He suddenly yells. I jump with a slight bit of fear on my face.

"Oh Y/N-" Stefan starts. "It's fine" I interrupt. I quit pacing and start to fiddle with my fingers. "I'm sorry. I'm not just me lately" he chuckles to himself. "I can tell" I say. I walk to him and sit beside him.

"But that's why I'm here. I'm your best friend Stef, please tell me what's wrong" I plead and lean my head against his shoulder. I couldn't stand look at his heartbroken face. "I can't tell you" Stefan admits.

I stand up and walk a few feet away. "Alright" I mutter with hurt on my face.  I walk towards the door but Stefan flashes before me. "Ok I'm sorry. It's just I am emotionally confused. All these new feelings are scaring the shit out of me!" He blurts out.

"What feelings Stefan?" I ask even more confused. He's quiet for a minute.

He then speaks up. "Y/N, I fucking love you. I know I can't because we are best friends. But I want more than that! I want to be with you for eternity not just as best friends but more. I really love you" Stefan says. I look at him stunned. I've always loved Stefan.

"I love you too. So damn much" I smile at him which he returns. He then pulls me in for a passionate kiss. We stay like that for what feels like forever when he pulls away. He leans his forehead against mine. "I've been waiting for this for such a long time. I love you Y/N" he mutters. I smile at him.

"Did you get it on video?" we hear. I turn to my right to see Caroline and Damon video taping us. "Oh hey guys" Caroline chirps. "You're useless Damon. What happened to being quiet?" Caroline grumbles. "Oh so sorry" Damon rolls his eyes. I laugh at the duo and Stefan joins in. Man, this felt good.
