Chapter 11 | realisation

Reader POV

I just killed someone.

My eyes turned back to normal and I looked around at my bloody hands and sword. I was covered in scratches and bruises, my clothes stained with blood.

I looked down and saw the leader dead.

I dropped my sword and took a few steps back before falling on my hands and knees.

I felt my eyes start to water.

"(Y/n)?"

I can't. I picked up my cloak and zoomed off to my dark soggy alone place, bawling my eyes out.

I just killed someone.

I'm a monster! I can't be around people or I'll hurt them.

I landed in my secret cave and sat behind a rock, curled up in a ball with my wings wrapped around me, crying my eyes out.

I slapped myself for what I did.

And what I did to Hiccup and his family.

They could never trust me again.
I felt like being sick from all the crying.

It was all so sudden and my dragon instincts took over.
I was being protective all thanks to my stupid crush on Hiccup!

Hiccups POV

I have to find her.
Its not her fault and I can't let her think it is.

Where would she go?
I searched the dragon sanctuary and the islands near by and couldn't find her.
My search was dry until I heard crying from inside a cave.
