Recap: "I won't let go". I whispered.

"What did you say?" Jake asked.

"Nothing I said nothing". I replied quickly.

"Oh, did you like it?" He asked pulling a slight smile. How could I not!

"Well..." I said before he cut me off.

"You didn't like it?" He asked.

"That's not what I said Jake". I replied.

"But did you like it?" He asked impatiently. I signed. I cannot let him think I hated it.

"Yes! I loved it Jake Davis!" I shouted, not realising how loud my voice actually was.

He chuckled. "Well if you play your cards right I may sing for you again". He said.

"If I play my cards right, what is that meant to mean?" I questioned.

He smiled. He reached out and grabbed my hand. I let him take my hand after all what harm could he do?

He smiled at how cautious I was.

"It's alright, I won't hurt you". He said.

I signed. He didn't look too happy by what I had done.

"Why are you always upset, Megan?" He asked. Did I really want to go there? Do I really want to tell him that I know what he is? That he was after all a fictional creature in books. He's a werewolf. I'm not afraid to say the word. Although, if I said it in front of him how will he react?

Who knows how he will react?

"Truth be told Jake, I don't know". I replied.

"Please don't lie to me". He whispered.

"I'm not lying to you!" I said a little louder than him.

"I can sense something is wrong and if you don't tell me I'll have to talk your father". He said calmly.

"Why can't you just leave me alone? It's not like you care. What I meant to say was you never cared before so why start now!" I shouted at him.

I shrugged his hand off mine and I ran into the hallway. I felt a cold, damp tear fall down my fragile face.

Why am I crying? I think I've just forgot I'm his mate.

I turned back and ran back into the class.

I looked around for Jake. He's gone.
