Prompt: Sometimes you and Namjoon take a trip to the beach, lay down a blanket and look at the stars while discussing random things.

"Why do we drive in a parkway but park in a driveway?" Namjoon asked you, continuing to look at the, what you thought was, gorgeous night sky.

You shifted yourself to lightly punch his shoulder, smiling. "Shut up, Namjoon."

He laughed, turning his head to you. "It's a serious question. Why do we do things like that? Like, why do 'come' and 'home' have the same last three letters but are pronounced differently?" His eyebrows were raised, a grin on his lips.

You shook your head. "I don't know. Why do you keep asking me questions that I can't answer?" You squinted at him, your own eyebrows up.

He hummed. "It's not that you can't answer it, you just don't know how to. Personally, I think it's since humans are weird and for some reason enjoy having everything so complex. Also, I think we just find pleasure in fucking with each other," he admitted, his smile widening.

You giggled. "You're so ridiculous, you know that?"

He nodded, bringing you closer than you already were. "Of course I know that. But you love me for that, right?"

"Of course I do, Namjoon," you said, placing a kiss on his lips. "You mean a lot to me, I just thought you should know."

This made him chuckle, and you could see a light dust of pink on his cheeks despite the darkness. "The sentiment is shared, baby," he replied, kissing you again.

You both looked back at the starry array after, only for Namjoon to open up his mouth again.

"Why do you think we exist? Like, what's our purpose?" He asked, once again keeping his eyes forward.

"I don't know. Maybe because we're meant to find out about aliens or something." He laughed again, and you responded by hitting him on the shoulder again. "I'm being serious! Maybe we're here to study the solar system and all it has to offer. To discover other living things and converse with them, give them an existence. We, as humans, are curious by nature, so perhaps that was installed within us. Each day, as it goes by, we only get more and more enraptured in learning about what's out there. And maybe that's what they want."

It was silent for a moment, as Namjoon was most likely in thought of how to reply, but then you heard his voice.

"You're so intelligent sometimes, you know that?"

You gasped, offended, sitting up. "What do you mean 'sometimes'? I am smart all the time, Namjoon," you stated, crossing your arms with a huff.

He sat up beside you, grinning at your defensiveness. "Yes, yes, how could I make such a mistake? Ugh," he put a hand on his forehead, shutting his eyes and faking distress, "I think I need you to perform CPR on me baby. I'm feeling weak and I think I'll pass out. Quickly, please."

You laughed, shaking your head. "You know, for someone with such a high IQ, you are so dumb."

He opened his eyes and looked at you, giving you a wink before grinning wide. "I know, but I still need CPR. I don't know if I'll be able to live if your lips don't touch mine right now."

You snorted, poking at his dimples for a quick moment because you loved them so damn much, before giving him another sweet kiss.

When you pulled back, you wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him. His arms went around your waist, and you stayed like that for several minutes.

"I love you, baby," he said quietly.

You hummed happily. "I love you too, Namjoon."

He kissed your temple. "Thank you for coming out with me tonight. I know that you have school tomorrow and that you had school all day today and then worked for the evening, but you still came here. You don't know how much that means to me."

You rolled your eyes. "It's not that big of a deal. I want to spend any amount of time that I can with you. So, even if I'm tired tomorrow morning, it'll be worth it, because at least I got to see you."

Namjoon pulled away to look at you, his expression depicting one of complete love and happiness. He put your foreheads against each other, shaking his head while chuckling quietly.

"How did I get so lucky?"

While you were sure the question was rhetorical, you couldn't help but answer it. "I don't know. Probably because we met by you spilling coffee on me? Then you insisted on paying for a drink for me and then asked for my number. Maybe you really are a lucky guy, since that spill stained my jeans but you got a tolerant girlfriend," you said, pouting.

He bit his bottom lip. "Whoops? But hey, at least it adds some character right? Special designing by yours truly." He gave you another wink, making you laugh.

"Oh shut up, Namjoon."

"Make me."

You kissed him again, relishing in the feeling as his soft lips connected with yours. His lips were always so nice when the two of you kissed. They never felt chapped, as if he made sure he was constantly putting on chapstick whenever you weren't looking, always ready to steal a kiss or two from you. You liked that about him. How even though he was clumsy doing anything else, he was perfect whenever your mouths touched.

When you pulled away, he kissed you once more, this time a quick one, before letting his forehead rest on yours again.

"I really do love you," he murmured, and you responded by rubbing your noses together, making him grin wide.

You heard a growling sound, and you pouted. "And I really love food. Can we get something to eat?"

His eyebrows went up. "Baby, it's," he removed one arm from you to reach for his phone, checking the time, "12:32." He put his phone down, looking at you again. "What place is going to be open?"

You shrugged. "I dunno. Denny's?"

Namjoon laughed. "Okay, sure. Whatever you want."
