Request: Hi~I request a Thranduil x Reader Oneshot if you please :3 In which the reader is a adviser sent to Thranduil to help him in his new position as king by Elrond. And of course Thranduil isn't pleased about this but soonhe realize a priceless advantage of her being his counsel (and more?)

A/N: I hope this is what the anon that requested this wanted. I didn't really know what to make the "priceless advantage" so. Sorry, Anon, if this isn't what you were hoping for! ALSO, I may make this two parts if I feel people want me to. Also, sorry for the continuous Thranduil, I plan on writing a Bofur fanfic later so.

My horse raced through the forests of Mirkwood, its black mane flying exquisitely in the wind. These woods were once King Oropher's, but now they resided under the order of the newly crowned King Thranduil. And that was my purpose for being in the infested and dying woodlands.

I was a noble elf of Rivendell and one of Lord Elrond's most trusted advisers.Once Lord Elrond had gotten word of the new Elvenking, he had requested me to be the King's adviser until the I saw he was fit to rule his realm.

I slowed my horse as I reached the gate of tangled branches and thorns. The sentries instantly pointed their bows at me in unison, the collective creaking of bow strings echoing in the cold air and the beautiful metal tips glinting softly in the soft winter sunlight. My guards that had been sent along with me stopped behind me, only putting the Mirkwood's defenders further on edge.

"Do not fire!" One of the higher looking elves called. The sentries lowered their weapons as the one raced towards me.

"Lady Y/N," a familiar voice sounded from the approaching figure. The warrior lifted his helmet and his brown hair tumbled down his broad shoulders and I immediately recognized my old friend, Feren.

"Feren. It is a pleasure to see you again," I laughed, as I dismounted my horse, embracing Feren afterwards.

"Likewise, mellon," Feren smiled. "What brings you to Mirkwood?" The elf's eyebrows scrunched together as he pulled away.

"Lord Elrond sent me to be King Thranduil's adviser until he is fit to rule his realm, to quote my Lord," I replied, retrieving a piece of parchment from my leather satchel, which hung at my side, and handed it to the ellon. Feren's eyes scanned the paper before his dark eyes returned to my face.

"I shall take you to see, King Thranduil. I suggest giving him this letter. He has been in a foul mood this wretched morn," Feren said sarcastically.

I followed the elf down the massive halls. Imposing trees lined the walls and as their branches rose higher the entangled as if fighting one another for a glimpse of the sun that would never reach their dry limbs. I glimpsed over the edge of the walkway I stood on and watched as elves bustled below, tending to their various duties. I was in awe, to say the least.

Finally, I was met with huge oaken double doors that were carved with such care and detail. Feren mumbled something to the armored soldiers that safeguarded the room beyond.

Feren flashed me a glance before forcing the heavy door open.

"Who dares interrupt my silence on such a hapless morrow?" A grand, velvety voice echoed.

Feren entered and bowed before his king.

"Forgive me, Hir vuin, but Lord Elrond of Rivendell has sent, Lady Y/N, an adviser, for you," Feren announced, his voice devoid of any emotion.

"Rhiach! I do not need an adviser," The deep voice reverberated throughout the halls once more.

"Forgive me, my lord, but I do not think that is the correct way to treat a lady," I reprimanded, as I entered the throne room and bowed respectfully.
