Request from EleanorLearn: The reader is Bilbo's sister and during the adventure, she gets close to the brothers and Fee flirts with her and saves her multiple times, but Bilbo is overprotective

A/N: VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!! I will be on vacation for 3 weeks, starting Saturday, July 16. I will be writing while on my trip, but I will not be able to post frequently. I will post multiple pieces at once if possible, or I will post all in three weeks. REQUESTS ARE STILL OPEN! Thanks, Adria :)

Furthermore, I changed the imagine up just a bit, and I hope that isn't much of a problem. It still follows the guidelines of the request quite closely but just a few things are changed. And, the poetry that is the last line of this fic is supposed to be a Hobbit courting ritual according to a particular article I read.

Translations: Armalime: my love

Abbreviations: H/C: Hair color, E/C: Eye color

Warnings: mention of injury, quite descriptive kissing at the end (oops).

I sat glumly glaring at my bandaged ankle, an injury I had earned while defending Thorin with what little skill I had, only two weeks prior. Fili, the blonde dwarf whose hair much resembled a lion's mane and the one who I had fallen in love with, had carried my shaking form back to camp and stayed by my side, whispering sweet nothings, as Oin carefully put my foot back into its rightful place and gave me a medicine of sorts to ease the throbbing, no, roaring pain.

Ever since then, Fili and his brother Kili had kept good company, much to the distaste of my meddlesome brother, Bilbo.

Tonight, Fili's shining eyes and uproarious comments seemed to irritate Bilbo, more than usual as the appetizing smells steamed from the boiling pot of stew, an ablaze fire beneath it, that Bombur had been cooking for the past hour.

"Y/N, your eyes look very beautiful this evening. The flames seem to bring out a bit of gold from beneath the E/C of your irises." Fili complimented.
I almost took the compliment seriously until my gaze met Fili's and his thick, flashing eyebrows.

"Fili," I laughed, giving his shoulder a soft shove. "Be serious."

"I am," Fili feigned a deep hurt as he shied away, a gloved hand over his heart.

"How could you believe I'm not, my fair lady?"

"Because you're always joking with me," I responded, a slight blush upon my cheeks as my ears and nose twitched slightly.

"You know, when your nose twitches when you blush, I have grown quite fond of that and it is quite adorable, darling," Fili continued, playfulness practically dripping from his lips.

"Fili, I know you don't mean that," I laughed a little sadly.

"What? Of course, I do," Fili exclaimed, completely oblivious to Bombur's calls for supper.

"Fili," I replied, "You might want to eat before Bombur claims the rest of that stew."

"Right," Fili nodded, a determined look on his face. "I shall be right back."

With that, Fili arose from the bench-like log we had been sitting on as he raced over to retrieve some food. I watched him sadly. I knew his uncle would never approve of Erebor's heir sustaining affairs with a hobbit. And I knew Fili was only entertaining the thought to keep me busy, seeing as I could do nothing to help the company with my injury.

Damn, my leg! I screamed mentally. The bloody thing is rendering me more useless than before.

"Here," Fili offered, as he held out a bowl of the delectable stew as he took up his place once more beside me.

"Not hungry," I mumbled.

"Y/N, you need to eat something," Fili replied, a worried expression on his features. "We have the first watch tonight, and I know you haven't eaten since yesterday."

"Well, do you know my bathing schedule as well," I laughed.

"I wish," He replied, his childish banter fading just as it had returned. "But in all seriousness, please eat. If not for yourself then at least for me."

"If you insist," I sighed, reaching for the wooden spoon.

Fili pulled the utensil away from me, his head shaking back and forth. "Nope, my lovely lass, this night I feed you. With the stars witnessing and the fire warming our limbs."

I rolled my eyes but eventually gave in, allowing Fili to spoon the warm liquid into my mouth, earning fatal glares from Bilbo, who sat awkwardly next to Dwalin.
As the night wore on, the rest of the company huddled into their nests of cots and blankets, while Fili and I's senses grew sharper beneath the stars' behold, our laughter quieting to soft sniggers.

Before long, I had somehow found shelter in Fili's lap, his bulky arms pulling into his muscles chest, furred coat pulled around our shoulders.

"Y/N," Fili murmured. "I really did mean what I said earlier. Your eyes are quite stunning and I do admire your blush."

The sadness returned and self-consciously tugged a tendril of H/C hair behind my ear as I turned to face him in his lap.

"Fili, I just-"

My words were cut short as tender lips met mine, cold metal beads tapping my face, blonde beard tickling my chin and hands tangling in my hair, holding me so close that I thought it, just maybe, it was possible to merge into one being, forged from lust. At first, I didn't respond, but then the shock passed and our lips were locked in a demanding waltz, attempting dominance over the other. Eventually, I gave in and Fili's soft tongue passed my lips, tasting me and I him. We parted only when there was surely not a breath of air in our lungs.

"Don't you see, Y/N?" Fili asked kindly heaving ragged breaths. "When I brought you back to camp, it was to protect you. When I shielded you from the trolls, that was to protect you as well. I know your brother cares for you deeply, but I want to be the one to take care of you, and I want you to rule by my side when Erebor passes to me and I want to be the one to ease your fears and bolden your joy."

"But wouldn't Thorin want your forged beads and shining knives to be given to someone more worthy?" I asked, my voice hushed and timid.

"I don't give a damn what he wants," Fili murmured, his hands encasing mine, calluses caressing my soft flesh. "You are the only being I have ever laid eyes upon that has made my heart forge as noble of a lust as you have."

"Oh, Fili," I whispered as I wrapped my arms around his neck, the force throwing us upon the ground in a giggling mess, bodies pressed against one another, warm flesh upon warm flesh. "Thank you, I have pined for your longer than you know."

In that moment, the gaze that was bestowed upon me made my heart swell uncontrollably, my skin screaming for more as his fingers gently brushed a stray piece of hair behind my trembling ear, my revered blush racing rapidly across my cheeks.

"I love you, Y/N, my amralime, my one," Fili murmured.

"You brighten my mind on the darkest of days, my beloved."
