pet peeves

just fyi, this is not shade, this is just things i find annoying in fanfictions

1. magnifying a character's personality wayyyy too much. bokuto can be chill. oikawa can be nice. daichi can be observant. please.

2. using things they say too much. no, bokuto's vocabulary isn't just hey and oya, kageyama knows more insults than dumbass and levi does not call everyone a brat every goddamn second.

3. don't stretch the plot? i do this too but don't start filling.

4. don't start a story with 0 idea how to end it. sure, it might pop up along the way, but for readers it's annoying when there are slow updates, especially if they really like your work. (EDIT HAHAHAHAAH IM SUCH A BITCH THIS IS ME)

5. stop using * or - or character:. use proper grammar.

6. check your spelling. if i got a euro for everytime someone wrote expansive instead of expensive i would be on a fucking yacht. (EDIT LMAO MEGAN YOU FUCKING WHORE)

7. long a/n's are usually pointless. your readers don't want to expect a long chapter and then be disappointed because 50% of it is a/n.

8. make sure your cover, title and summary are neat. don't put nothing, don't put 'idk a summary so hahah yk', and definitely don't use a pixelated / stolen cover. if you're not good at making covers, ask someone. (jejdkfjfjfkdkkdkd i am such a bitch)
