Purpose

Chapter 3: Trust

I was walking over to Lilo's room and I saw Kim Maxwell, she is popular and gets what she wants when she wants it, "hey Emily." Kim said. "Oh hey Kim." I said looking at her. "Okay I'm just cutting to the chase, Harold doesn't like you anymore, haven't you seen the pictures?" Kim said looking at me with one eyebrow half-raised. "Oh, you did not just say that, you're not getting him, I'm sorry but he doesn't like your skanky ass you slutty bitch okay?!" I said with sass. Kim then punched me in the eye and I knew it would become a black eye. I walked away and my eyes teared up and I knew that I just had to trust Harold.

I went into Lilo's room crying and she saw the black eye and I told her the whole story. "Hey, she just posted on her snapchat and it's bad." Lilo said.
I looked at her snapchat and her friends were filming Kim making out with Harold. My eyes teared up and I felt a horrible pain in my stomach because I loved him so much but seeing him make out with Kim hurt. My eyes swelled up and Lilo hugged me and Crystal ran in and wanted to make sure I was okay and I told her the story and she said I'll be right back.

Crystal has always been there for me, she sticks up for me and she always saves the last pizza roll for me and that's commitment like seriously. The next thing I knew I saw  people running down the hall yelling that there is a fight. We ran outside and saw Crystal pinned on top of Kim punching her face and she had a bloody nose and she was crying. Crystal got up and said " Now you know not to mess with me or my friends bitch." Crystal walked away into her dorm leaving Kim on the floor and she gets up and looks at me and walks straight past me.

Harold ran up to me and saw the black eye and I walked away from him. "Lilo, you gotta let me explain, it wasn't me and what happened to her I just saw her a few minutes ago?" Harold said. Lilo explained the story "I'll talk to her but you got a lot of explaining to do to her." Lilo said to Harold and she went to her dorm where Emily was. "Lilo, I can't even explain the pain I'm feeling, I am completely in love with him and he probably doesn't even know it." I said with tears rolling down my cheeks. "Em, he loves you, I know it, and you know it" Lilo said. The two continued talking but didn't realize that Harold was on the other side of the door listening. Harold knocked on the door and Lilo answered and without asking he ran in and pulled me into a huge embrace. I couldn't explain the pain but it felt like it went away once I had him with me and I could burrow my face in his chest. "I-I'm sorry Em, it was Kim, not me, I love you and only you." Harold said and a small tear rolled down his face and I felt it fall on my head. "I know, I should've trusted you, I was stupid for thinking you would do that." Emily said then looked up at him. Harold looked at her and picked her chin up and lightly kissed her. "U-uhm sorry to break this love sesh but I'm still here." Lilo said in the distance laughing. We both chuckled and he kept his arm around my waist.

"So did you give her the present." Lilo said. "Wait what." I said in surprise. Harold picked me up and sat me on the bed and sat next to me and gave me a small box that was a velvet red and it was soft and had two small diamonds on them. I opened the box and saw a charm that was a moon with a star connected on the tip on the crescent shape with a diamond in the middle. I looked at it in astonishment. "Wow, H-Harold, you didn't have to." I said with a tear going down my cheek. "I bought it so you can put it on your necklace because I know that you never take it off." Harold said and unhooked the necklace and put on the charm.
