Chapter 5 : Park

Mia's Pov
July 14, 1973

As the driver helped us out of the car I looked at Mike who was scoping out the scene to make sure their wasn't any wild fans around.

"Oh Mike don't worry about it, no one is here" I said smiling warmly so he could feel more comfortable.

"Okay I'll calm down a little more" he said rubbing his arm once again turning towards me

We started walking towards the gate that opened to the park, I nodded towards the gate manger who opened the gate and shut it behind us. Now what surrounded us was lush green grass and trees, benches and pathways conveniently placed for comfort and their was my secret spot that was just up the pathway a little bit more.

"Wow" he said in wonderment

"You like it ?" I said looking towards him

"Like it ? I absolutely love it" he stated while still gazing around

"Well...race you to the secret spot !" I exclaimed while running up the pathway

"Mia your such a cheater ! I'm gonna beat you" he said starting to run a little bit faster then me

Mike started to faster I slowed down a little laughing to myself because he didn't know where the finish line (or secret spot where we were racing too) was.

"Hey Mike" I called out wanna know where the spot is before you run there ? He slowed down turned towards me and nodded a little embarrassed at his over excitement which I thought was cute, "it's right past those two trees" I said pointing towards them, the trees acted like a natural gate to my spot

"I follow you Mia" he said

"Alright follow your wonderful tour guide Mia Beverly" I said in a tour guides voice mimicking there ways causing Mike to giggle a little.

Michaels Pov

Mia started towards the trees holding her hand out behind her for me to grab. When we finally got to the spot is was more amazing than I thought it was little clearing as if made for two people out looking a wonderful view of LA it was absolute magic and to add on to the beauty it was sunset making it even more beautiful.

I geuss I was in a trance by the beauty because Mia was saying my name repeatedly

"Michael, Michael ?? Do you like it ?" She said as if she already knew my answer by my face cause she was smiling here radiant smile.

Mia and I talked till it was completely dark out and the only lights with us was from the city and the stars, we were now lying down still hands still entwined from earlier I savored each moment with her. Mia them propped up on her elbow and faced me

"Michael, if you could do anything right now what would it be" she said staring into my eyes and me staring back at hers, while she talked I stared at her naturally pink lips, causing me to think of the most perfect thing to say

"I would do this" I said with the most confidence I have ever said anything while making my way onto Mia's lips with mine.
