Zoey's P.O.V:
I wake up the next morning and untangle myself from Luke without waking him up. I can't help but wonder why Luke got upset at me going through his CD's. I stand to my feet and walk over to his dresser. I pick the stack up and go through them. I let out a small amused gasp when I see the album I know he was hiding from me. He bought Scars & Stories. My favorite album by The Fray. I bite my lip to keep my smile from growing too big. I hear him start to stir awake, so I quickly put the CD's back the way he had them."Hey, come back to bed." He says and I smile.
"Why don't I make breakfast?" I tell him.
"Why don't you bring your hot ass back to bed." He says and I giggle.
"You need to take your medicine anyways, Luke, and you can't do that on an empty stomach," I tell him and he groans.
"I cannot wait to be back to normal." He says and I smile.
"What makes you think you were normal?" I tease and he shoots me a playful glare. I giggle slightly and turn to walk downstairs, but he speaks making me turn around.
"Kiss me first." He says before licking his lips. I love that simple motion. Never did I think I'd ever be with someone who's lip and eyebrow are pierced and is covered in tattoos, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I walk to his bedside and lean down to kiss him.
"I'll be right back," I tell him and walk down the stairs.
One Week Later:
Luke is finally off of bedrest, so I decide to get him a gift. I'm at the mall with the guys because I don't know the first thing about the punk rock things Luke likes. We're at a store called Hot Topic and I'm not going to lie, it's scary in here. Everything in here looks like it belongs in a Halloween store.
"You okay?" Ashton laughs a little at my awkwardness.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm just... a little out of my element." I say, honestly.
"Yeah, you never took me as the type to shop at punk stores." He teases and I smile in response. I pick up what looks like a spiked dog collar.
"Hey, this is kind of cute. I didn't know they sold animal stuff here." I smile. The guys laugh at me. Even the guy at the register who's covered in tattoos, his ears have holes the size of an American 50-cent piece, and his hair is spiked into a jet-black Mohawk, laughs at me.
"That's not for a dog," Michael tells me, refraining from laughing too hard. I look at him confused.
"It goes around your neck. It's a choker." Calum says and my eyes widen, tossing it back into the bowl full of different style... chokers?
"Why would anybody wear that?" I say, not trying to sound rude. The cashier shoots me an annoyed look and I realize why once I see that he's wearing a spiked choker. Oops.
"What would Luke want?" I ask.
"Just get him Death of a Bachelor," Ashton says and I clear my throat.
"I beg your pardon?" I say, not knowing what on earth he's talking about. They laugh at me again. Gosh, that's getting annoying.
"It's the new Panic At The Disco album," Michael tells me and Ashton hands me an album.
"Just get him this. He's been wanting it, but he's been a little too preoccupied with other shit." Ashton says and I nod.
...
The guys just dropped me off at Luke's. I knock on the door and wait for someone to answer. I have his CD in a gift bag. I hope he likes the gift. His mum answers the door and smiles.
