I promised your mother a lot, Venus. Seriously, do something you actually wanted. Loosen up a little.

A faint voice of Marquis whispered in my head. I didn't know when he and I talked about that but maybe it was the time when I was having a huge headache. Memories of that were faint. Ni hindi ko nga naibuka ng maayos ang mga mata ko no'n.

And I never thought I'd follow it.

Tahimik lang ako sa sasakyan ni Lucian habang nakatingin ng view sa labas. Milan screams expensive alright. There are also a lot of boutiques—of course being one of the fashion capitals of the world. It has been so long since the last time I traveled and that was still in Paris. Everything may feel nostalgic but I couldn't embrace the feeling just yet. Mas inaalala ko si Celeste sa Pilipinas.

Gusto ko siyang tawagan but it's 3 PM in Milan and it's pretty late now back in the Philippines. Ayaw ko namang mapuyat ang bata dahil sa akin so I'll let this worrying get the best of me until I could actually talk to her. 'Di bale sana kung nasa mabuting kamay siya e. But as far as I'm concerned, there's only one person who I think is responsible enough to do that.

"I'm only doing this because I keep my word. Tandaan mong hindi naman ako babysitter. Hindi ako magaling sa mga bata." Marquis's words haunted me for some reason, it gave me shivers.

"Why don't you call  Ingrid for help?"

He scoffed. "That would only make matters worse. Parang magkapatid nga 'yong dalawa e."

"But you better take care if her, Marquis." Iyon nalang ang nasabi ko.

I admit Celeste could be quite a handful at times pero alam naman niya ang limitasyon niya. I just really hope that Marquis does his job right kundi makakatikim siya sa'kin.

Pilit kong pinikit ang aking mata pero sadyang mabilis maka-adapt ang body clock ko sa bagong time slot. Pareho lang naman ang oras ng Paris at Milan kaya parang sanayan na rin. I'm tired as hell but I can't even sleep.

"You know you could always bring Celeste with you. It'll be much more livelier." I squirmed as I heard Lucian breaking the ice after a long period of silence. "She would probably really like it here since she loves dressing up so much." He added.

Tumango nalang ako bilang sagot. Honestly, I felt guilty. Since the time I agreed with this deal, hindi ko na siya kinausap. Maski no'ng nasa airplane kami, hindi kami nagka-imikan. We just do when we ask trivial things and then silence. It's making me uncomfortable but I think it's best to make it that way. After all, I'm really embarrassed to eat back my words after turning down this great oppurtunity.

Iyon lang ang nasabi niya sa buong biyahe, the whole twenty minutes which seemed like hours. Nasa tapat kami ng isang apartments. Kasali sa deal, sagot din ni Martin ang expenses at itong apartment even if I say no. I really wanted to say no because I could afford it myself... kahit ga'no pa kamahal 'yan. Bumaba na kami sa sasakyan at pumunta sa loob.

After we got rhe keys, Lucian guided me to my apartment room. Siya pa mismo ang nagdala ng mga suitcases ko kahit kaya ko pa naman. Since he insisted, wala na rin akong magawa.

"I really do hope you enjoy your stay here, Venus despite being busy and all." Lucian smiled warmly at me.

Would he stop doing that? My inner self scolded him.
