As my feet touch the ground, I feel warmth against my body. Warmth that lets me feel safe and secure. I suddenly feel the nice safe heat leave my touch. I open my eyes to see the love of my life, looking like he'd just relived discovering his sister, Laura, in the bathtub in 2009. That was a hard time for him, because that was when he needed someone the most, and came to me. All the blood, it was horrendous. That bond we developed was the best thing that's ever happened to me. He says in a voice that could barely be heard, "I have loved you for all my life. Nothing can keep us apart, but I can't bare to go through what happened with Laura again. It'd bring me to the edge." I feel the heat of my tears running down my face. I wipe them as Carters voice turns lower and lower. He clears his throat and tries to talk louder. "You need help, and you're going to get it." I nodded showing I was listening.
