"You knew he was going to be here tonight didn't you?"

Beretti sounded insulted by the accusation. "Of course I didn't know Lucious was going to be there!"

"I told you I got this." James nearly yelled. "You interfering with my plan is just going to slow the entire process down. And I'm not a patient person."

"If I didn't know any better I would think you're threatening me. But seeing as I do know better, I'm going to let your girl fit pass."

It was James' turn to be offended. "This isn't some kind of game, Beretti. If you get in my way I swear to God-" Before he could finish his threat, the CEO ended the call. "Damn it!"

"Everything alright, brother?" James looked behind him to find Lucious.

"Yeah, I'm fine." James feigned a smile. "Just business problems." Lucious stepped in front of James' way. "I better get back inside, though. Gotta check on Laylah."

"Yeah go on, I'll be right in." Lucious stepped out of the way, his eyes following  James' form until the artist was no longer in view. Reaching for his phone, he hit speed dial 3 and waited for a the other line to pick up. "Get rid of him."
