" I don't love you, I'm just passing the time
You could love me if I knew how to lie
But who could love me?
I am out of my mind"

It was a Sunday night, and you had asked me to meet you at a fancy restaurant for dinner. We have been talking for three months, and I knew you like the back of my hand by now.

This evening was quite different. You seemed nervous the whole time.

Before you asked me out, I already saw it coming. It wasn't our chemistry, no, we were never that kind of couple. Chemistry was something neither of us believed in. It was the way the way I knew you were sad before you could even tell me. It was the way you didn't try to force me to look at you in the eye when I didn't want to. But mostly, it was because when I did look at you, your eyes seemed so full of honesty and warmth I didn't want to look away anymore.

So I said yes, of course. Why would I have said no? The evening was perfect. I decided to follow my heart for once. And even though I knew what was going to happen anyway, and we were going to end up like this someday, I said yes. Again.
