Chapter 2 - The Truth Comes Out

I wake up tired from the long journey down the side of the cliff. I get up and start to get the food ready for us to leave, when suddenly I hear a loud thumping noise. It gets louder and louder. I decide to fight whatever is coming alone. I grab Zanna’s sword careful not to wake her up. My bow and arrows are still strapped to my back in case I need it. Then as my heart is racing thinking this might be the last time I see the world, I head off. I walk around the corner to see a huge army of orcs heading down towards me! I charge at them with Zanna’s sword in my hand. I swing the sword cutting about five heads off from the front row. They fall to the ground as more orcs come walking over the side and pushing the dead bodies off the side. I swing the sword again only managing to kill one of them. An orc charges towards me and swings his club at my face, I block it with my sword but instead I stumble back, letting go of the sword and falling badly on my arm. I scream out in pain. As I’m trying to get up and reach for the sword a hand comes from behind me and helps me. It is Doughty. As he helps me up Athor and little-john come running past. I say to Doughty to leave me and fight, but he doesn’t leave my side instead he grabs the sword and gives it to Zanna who comes running. “Go fight off the orcs while I help Zora” he says to Zanna. "We need you," she shouts back while pushing an orc off the side. Doughty picks me up and carries me round to where we set up camp. I see Touchfire lying on the ground still sleeping. I giggle to myself as Doughty puts me down and has a look at my arm. As he takes it I give a little wince of pain. He looks at it for a little while as I sit there trying not to show that it hurts really badly. “It looks like it is broken,” He says. “Let me bind it up.” “Thanks” I reply. Zanna comes back and says "Doughty we really need your help!!" Doughty gets up, I try to get up, but he pushes me down and says “Stay here and look after Touchfire, You can’t fight with your arm” “But, I’m okay I can still fight” I say back to him but both of them are gone. I try to get up but I can’t. So I shuffle over to the corner and see Doughty, Zanna, Little-John and Athor fighting off the Orcs. I grab out an arrow, my arm is throbbing with pain, I put it ready for aim. I let go, it goes straight through three orcs. I drop my bow and rest my arm which is in worse pain than it was before. I look up and see that there are only a few orcs left. Doughty gets his sword and stabs the rest of the orcs and pushes them off the cliff. Zanna and Doughty come rushing over to me. “I told you not to fight” Doughty says to me in a harsh voice. “I couldn't help it, you know me I have to fight” I say back to him as he and Zanna help me up. Suddenly we hear an odd sound. Doughty runs around the corner to check if there are any more orcs. When he comes back we all start laughing at him. “What are you all laughing at” He asks with a very confused look on his face. I reply “It was only Touchfire waking up”. “Right I knew that” He said looking very embarrassed. “Good morning everyone, how are you this fine morning?” Touchfire asks all of us. We all stare at him. “Do you really not know what just happened” Zanna asked “Well he was asleep this whole time, how would he have known what happened” I replied. “Well how would you know? I could hear what the guards said when I was asleep, if you don’t remember I was locked up in a dungeon alone for a few years” Zanna said starting to get really angry now. I was so shocked with her reaction that I got angry too. “Well it’s not my fault that you were so stupid that you went into the forest where Krill’s guards were on patrol” I shout back at her. “Why did you not think? I thought you were dead all this time and now you are here and it is all messed up because I am used to you not being around and that’s how I want it to stay!” I say screaming at her. “Hey now that’s enough Zora” Athor says to me. I look at him, and then look at everyone else. Zanna looked so sad. I then realize what I said. “I didn't mean that! Really!” I quickly answer back "I'm so sorry it’s just that you being here is a shock and that I need to get used to it" Zanna just stares at me and starts packing up some stuff. We all follow and we finish after a few minutes. When everything was packed and when we had a small snack, we were off. The journey down the hill was very quiet! I keep thinking about what I said while being in pain. My arm has been killing me the whole time because every time I take a step it bounces. We were half way down when Doughty asks me
