- His Side -

He's scrolling upon the screen of his phone, looking at the pictures posted on her Instagram. Urie knew better though, this girl's boyfriend would get pissed if he saw him liking all these pictures, so he decided against it. It was one a.m. and he was slightly drunk from all of this, these emotions and thoughts, probably why he was so brash.

Spent the night, just one measly night, at his apartment, fuck each other, then wake up next to each other, only to have Urie send her back to her man. Haise Sasaki.

Maybe, he thought, some different time their paths would cross and then they would drink together, wine specifically. But that's how things started. With a cup of wine and ended up tangled in his bed sheets. It was just going to be a simple one-night-fuck-type-of-thing.

So many thoughts ran through his head as he tossed his phone aside. Thinking about her when she's topless to becoming more than just a one-night-thing with this girl.

That was before they broke apart so easily like a pair of chopsticks. He slowly slips out of his bed as he thinks further. He knows his past and yours as well wasn't what you call 'spotless', but things could be worked out easily if it was done right.

Yet he knew, girls had always slipped away and find their own way-- Guess he could have taken that chance, he supposes.

But that's life and the way that shit could go.

- Your Side -

The memory kept rolling in your head so vividly. You wondered endlessly why he let you go. Did he not like you? Were you bad? Why were you thinking like this? You were dating Haise after all. But it still hurt nonetheless deep within your heart.

He had invited you to his apartment after you two had drinks at the club, but outside his front door; that's where he turned you on. He couldn't hold back any longer as his lips pressed against yours so passionately, his lips warm and tasted like the drink he had earlier that night. One hand held you firmly against his body where the other struggled to push open the door where you two stumbled inside, still lip-locking. Then things heated up even more from there on.

Was he scared to come closer to you because you had dreams to chase?

That didn't mean I don't need love...

It had been two months since that began, but this night, you two where far apart from each other in the room. He was sitting upon the couch with a blank expression while your back faced him, keeping your eyes out the dark window, watching the raindrops fall onto the glassy pane.

"Do you like her?," you lowly whisper, afraid if you spoke any louder, your voice would crack and you would break down in front of him.

"I do."

His respond was blunt and point-blank. He found no use in using softer, gentler words or sugar coating anything, or even lying at this point.

"Well, you should go. Take a chance with her. She could be everything you wanted. Don't let that get away, don't let that slip away either. You don't let that love escape," you sigh.

Urie could hear the sad smile in your voice; somehow assuming you felt happy for him, but also heartbroken. But why did you feel this way?, he didn't know.

There was a long silence, probably lasted for ten minutes. None of you continue to say anything as you hear Urie get up from the couch, shuffling, then the front door. It opens and closes.

It's still silent except for the sound of your broken sobs and the shattering of your heart.

How long has it been since he's walked out of that door without saying a single thing? He knows the two of you fell out of touch, especially since it's been five years, yet here he was in front of you again. Urie still sees the hurt written and stitched into your eyes when you look at him, but the silence he gives you; if we're trying to get back to where it got away, he would stay, not about to rush.

All the fights and the bouts and such, he's aware her best friend would hate this; she actually doubts a lot.

"You make the call, I know I've been gone for long," he only says, finally breaking the deafening silence causing you to flinch that he was giving you the choice.

But rainfall after droughts are lush.

Should of-would of's always cross his mind after all this time, endlessly thinking about you. Years had passed, he knows, guess the two of you lost time like a misplaced watch and to be straight up like he sipped scotch, he knows he crossed the line.

But what if it seems that the dreams you two both chased conflicted with each other's then there was no space? To make a home now when you know there's no place? Guess there would always be a part he won't face in real life and that's why he had left you with no trace.

He left that night without a word or contacting you again afterwards because he knew, he knew he couldn't answer the 'please don't go' face.

He knows your lifestyle's a slow pace, he liked that, he truly did.

But right now, he felt like his life was a boat's race.

It was sad, but life is short.

He's still awaiting upon your answer.

This is when you finally remembered your words to him before he left.

'Don't let that get away, don't let love escape.'

Did he feel that way towards you after all this time?
