Chapter 2: Meeting Mom and Dad

Chapter 2

"I can't wait until I can sit on my broom again," Hermione said, just half an hour after the Hogwarts Express left Hogsmeades station. "Dad promised we would fly a little everyday."

Her father Oliver Wood is keeper and captain of Puddlemere United, he usually hang out with Dad and Uncle Ron .

"Me too," James agrees.

"But you're a beater in Gryffindor team", I states. "You get the sit on a broom at least three times a week."

"Yeah, but I want to train with dad and mom," James said. "I will never be as good as them if I don't fly with them."

Most of the teachers at Hogwarts had told me that my father had been able to play Quidditch for England, so he got to be really good as a seeker. I have just seen him fly on a broom and I see that he likes it so I can't believe he chose to become an Auror instead of continuing with Quidditch. Mom has been playing in Holyhead Harpies so she's also good at Quidditch .

"I also probably fly a bit with my dad," Rose says. "I'm not so good, and I can't say I like brooms so much, but I 'm not afraid of them like mom, she lacks the confidence in them."

"But she has tried to find the fun with a broom?" Hermione asks. "I think that if Hermione gave the broom a chance maybe she'd like them."

"Dad says that she has never liked brooms," I say . " Apparently something happened with Neville their first broom training their first year at Hogwarts, his broom obeyed him and just flew away with him and threw him off."

We continue to talk about broomsticks and Quidditch for long while.

"Next semester there will be a spot as a seeker in Slytherinlaget, I think I'll try to get it ," said Scorpius .

" Yes, there will be a spot as a seeker in our team too," James said, and is hopeful to me. "Victorie stops the Hogwarts now."

"But will I be as good as a seeker which she then?" I asked nervously as Quidditch never been my thing, it's mostly James who inherited dad's talent. I give my ferret Jam some candy.

"Yeah," James said.

"The lunch trolly comes now," Stefan said.

Is the clock already twelve? My, how time flies now. Suddenly it starts to tingle in my stomach. Soon I'll see my father and mother again.

"I want four pumpkin pasties, cauldron cakes and pumpkin juice," Stefan says.

"There will be eleven sickles ."

Stefan dig out eleven sickles and give to the witch.

"Anyone else?"

Everybody goes out in turn. I'm the last and best buys Drooble's best Blowing Gum, Licorice Wands, Cauldron Cakes and pumpkin juice. It was 13 sickles.

No one says that much while we eat our candy. Everyone was nervous about meeting his parents again, it had been so long .

"I think mom will be happy to my grades," Rose said, looking up from one of his books .

"How could she be anything else," Hermione said. "You're the best in our year ."

Rose starts blushing.

"Oh, I'm certainly not," she says . "Albus is also good."

"But I'm not nearly as good as you," I say . "You have saved me many times in Potions. Potions must be what I'm worst at. Wanna play wizard chess Scorpius?"

" Yes, we can do that," Scorpius replied.

While we were playing, I came to think of something.

"Scorpius can't you come and visit this summer?"

"Well that I would like," Scorpius said, but he gets a downcast gaze. "Though I don't think my father will allow it."

"I didn't even think about it, dad might not like it either," I say. "But on the other hand, it was their thing to be worst the enemies when they went at Hogwarts and not ours, if we want to meet during the summer holidays, we can do it, plus if dad says no, then mom will get mad at him and say that you can come. "

"Yes, my mother too," Scorpius said and get a winning look instead.

"I miss Winky," Rose said. "And I miss her food, it 's so good, it's also the Hogwarts of course, but Winky is so kind, she prepares whatever you want."

" Yes, Kreacher too," James says.

" Yeah, mom wrote to me and said that Winky will have children," Rose says. "With Kreacher."

I am so shocked that I turned and accidentally hit the pieces on the chess board that falls to the floor .

"Huh?"

"Yes," Rose said. "Mom said that Winky was so keen to have children so that it can take care us after she is dead and Kreacher wanted the same to you."

"We will get a mini Kreacher and Winky," James said cheerfully but keeps himself from laughing.

Now we had got something else to talk about. Everyone thinks it's fun and we don't stop talking about it until we hear the train driver's voice through the speakers.

"We arrive at platform nine and three quarters in five minutes. Be nice and pack up everything you have."

"Wow, already?" Hermione asks and looking out the window just like everyone else .

And yes, we are in London. The train ride had gone by so fast.

The train stops after what felt like a minute rather than five.

We go out of the cabin and walk out on the platform. And looking with our eyes among the crowd of parents. And then I caught sight of them.

"Dad," I whisper and starts to run. " Dad, " I shout . "Dad."

He sees me comes running and spreading his arms. I throw myself into his arms and he carry me up from the ground in a hug.

I feel ridiculous when the tears start spraying. But what we were talking about before I started at Hogwarts here on the platform helped me so much and I'm so grateful. And besides, I missed him and I love him so much.

"Oh Albus, I 've missed you so much," dad said and set me down again.

I put my arms around his waist and continues to hug him.

"I missed you too daddy."

"Hey, I also want to hug my father," James said.

I'm moving on me reluctantly, but hugs mom instead.

"Hey sweetie," she says.

"Hi mom," I say. "I've missed you so much."

"I missed you too," mom says.

Lily is standing beside. Waiting.

"Hey Lily," I say and lift her off the ground when I hug her.

She laughs.

"Hey Albus, I've missed you so much, it's been so empty home with both of you at Hogwarts."

"But now we're home," James says, and carries her from my arms and into his.

"Yes, but only for two months," Lily said. "Then you'll go again."

"But as James said Lily," Dad said. "They're at home now."
